I’ve Ā been watching Jupiter out the window, Ā very bright star. 🄰 Ā

I don’t know why this keeps appearing, but anyway, further to that 😳, Hubby has an AP on his phone which he can point at the star and it identifies it. It also shows the international space station and various satellites passing over, that’s how I knew it was Jupiter. Otherwise I wouldn’t have known which planet it was. It was surprisingly bright.Ā

Fairy I haven’t seen the footage of people ā€œdressing upā€ to take their bins out. Sounds very inventive and hilarious. We don’t have a garbage collection here. We have to take our rubbish to the tip. The fellow who sits there and takes our money, told Hubby that they might be closing our local tip and then we’ll have to drive the 25 km to the town tip. 🤬. Might dig a big hole out the back somewhere. šŸ™„

On tv this morning, they said that people have been sold Virus testing kits from India - which of course don’t work! Ā What are people going to try next? Ā Very horrible people out there.Ā

Our clocks went back last night, so we are closer again. 😁

lovely sunny day here, but a string cold wind is twisting the trees about.Ā

    Morning all.Ā

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ

I hope that all are waking well and rested.

My thoughts are with those of us who’ve lost loved ones, those whose loved ones are ill, and those who are struggling to make ends meet or keep their businesses afloat in these difficult times. Love to you all xx

Yes @Hostafan1 ... and I know you’ll agree with me that the only way to improve things is to improve education ... not that educational standards per se are slipping; I don’t think they are ... but education needs to be broader ... we need to study logic and philosophy and ethics alongside political history so that we understand how we got to where we are and what we value about our lives, and work on a cohesive plan about where we as a nation want to head for.Ā

At the moment we’re just trundling along from election to election, concerned only with the economy and individual wealth rather than an individual’s value, Ā and not understanding that our quality of life depends on so much more than just finance.Ā

Here endeth my lesson for today. šŸ˜‰Ā

It’s another beautiful morning and I have seeds to sow and mulch to spread. 🌱

    @Dovefromabove, you're right, I agree with you.Ā
So many folk look at what nutters put on the internet and take it as gospel.Ā  ( not that gospels ,per se, are any more reliable )

We went for a little walk this afternoon around the house and orchard. Found to my surprise that the English Lavender has a few little shoots with flowers (strange time since I’ve usually finished harvesting by the end of January). Must have been the little showers we’ve had lately. I also found some of the Parahebe perfoliata flowering ( it used to be called Derwentia perfoliata) before the botanists had a change of heart. Photo not downloading. Will try again shortly.

    Morning all/afties Pat
I don't know which part of Oz the footage was from , but it was great.
@Yviestevie - I've just seen your sad news. I'm so sorry. There's nothing we can say to make it better, other than give our support. As you say - nothing replaces putting your arms round her.Ā
Seeing reports of scams and frauds rocketing too, it doesn't surprise me that low lifes will try to capitalise on others' misery. Nothing much surprises me about humans nowadays. I read about that yesterday too @Dovefromabove. I feel sorry for the folk having to deal with these idiots. It's the same as the people still flocking to parks yesterday again. Some people are hopeless.Ā
I see Madge's announcement is happening tonight. She should just send Phil down to Regent's Park in his Range Rover. Maybe that would focus them....
Gey windy here, but dry and bright. I may get seeds done, and some little plants potted on, if I can eke out the compost with some soil.Ā
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Morning all.
    That's pretty @Pat E I haven't seen it before.

The sky is blue. I'm going out to sort out the compost heap area. The bin is nearly full and there is old compost on the ground. I'v found some pallets behind the shed and the car port so OH says he'll make something for the compost with them. Then if our garden bin collection stops we'll have more space for it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
