    Morning all.
It's rained a bit, need more.
I had long hair when I was young, 1st OH didn't like long hair so I had it cut for my wedding day, he liked it.
Will probably paint the guest room skirting boards today.

Morning everybody (although it's now mid way through!) Had a lazy start and slept much later because rain/clouds kept the bedroom darker. Dreary out there now and doesn't look very inviting so housework (about time too) and last week's ironing still to tackle. Had our first Sainsbury's delivery last night, very efficient. Driver put bags on drive, we put gloves on and carried them up to the house. I'm hoping to get another slot for next week but they're now only allowing people to book for the current week. I was pleased with their Customer Service helpline, I hadn't known about their Substitution Guarantee. Last week I ordered half leg lamb at £13.95 but was given one for £20.45, much too big for us and a lot more expensive. I've now got an apology and e-voucher for £7. I do feel a bit guilty because I cut the big joint into two for two roasts so win-win.

@Fairygirl darn it & I thought I was being so cool- not. ;)
Finally had some rain here our dippy NDN's were out in the rain putting compost in a raised bed, now it's dried up like the forecast said it would, they could have waited a bit for all the difference a couple of hours would have made.
We are still doing battle with the Holiday company we would have returned from Japan last week. They are fobbing us off, might have to try the insurance company next, as a voucher for next

If you order from Waitrose, substitutions are charged at the price of the product you ordered or less, if you receive a cheaper product.

I've painted 2 skirting boards, when paint is dry I'll move the bed for the other two. Not a big room.

Watched quite a bit of TV, Homes under the Hammer, Bargain Hunt, Father Brown, Escape to the Country. Now I'm off for a walk before it's too late.

Hi folks, it hasn't stopped raining here all day, the garden is loving it.  Not been a good day, Mum's home phoned to say she has tested positive for Covid.  I had sort of been expecting it but it's been awful ringing round to let family know.  They say she is OK at the moment but with all her underlying problems I'm fearing the worst. The home jsaid they would call me if the situation changed.  I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Niece had it too, she returned to front line nursing dealing with patients with mental problems, she said they had hardly any PPE at the time.  She said it was awful but she is getting over it now.

  • Evening all,

I was listening to the evening news and heard about the care home cases and immediately thought of you @Yviestevie, I do hope it's just a mild case, fingers crossed.

Pj's on now, still not much information here about when restaurants will open, they are going to see how it goes and update us at the end of May - back to gardening for me then. Not so bad.

    Stay safe everyone.
