@Omori, not really. Just a kind person suggesting it's new growth. I'm not convinced though as it doesn't look like the new growth on my other Tantau HT, bought and planted at the same time.

My main concern (caused by excessive googling) is that it's rose rosette disease and all my roses are going to die. I doubt that it's that as RRD isn't prolific in the UK (yet) and I bought my rose from a UK grower, but if it's rose replant disease i should probably pop that rose in a pot to coddle it.

I'm LOVING your Boscobel - It's definitely going on the wish list!

@Katsa It's not rose rosette (not only it isn't here but it also really isn't it) and it also doesn't look like replant disease to me.
To me, it looks normal. Watch it how it continue to grow. If the leaves get more normal as they mature.

@katsa I’ve had a couple like that. I’m inclined to think it’s just a weak plant in some way, or perhaps there’s something going on in that particular spot of soil we don’t know about, if it’s a newish garden to us. The good news is they tend to settle in and rebound the following year with stronger growth.

Anyone got a David Austin James Gallway climbing rose? I've just ordered one and just wondered if you are happy with it?
    Thanks 🌻

Thanks @edhelka and @Omori - i think it was struggling as a rose has been planted in the same place (for less than 2 years). i've lifted it and placed it in a pot and will keep an eye on it over the coming months.

I like your night garden @poppyfield64
.. especially those lights..and the high border edging.. what's that made of please?

..as my soil is all used up for roses, and seeing all the lovely hydrangeas everywhere at the moment, I've just ordered 4 from Signature Hydrangeas...  so looking forward to receiving those..  everywhere is sold out of most things..

@Marlorena I love Hydrangeas, which did you choose?

Beautiful @Marlorena and I agree, they're a good companion. I'm thinking about buying Kyushu and Vanilla Fraise, all of mine are either lace caps or mop heads, so would be nice to try something different.
