@newbie77 It is in a pot in full sun, but I can't take credit , the plant arrived from C&K Jones full of buds.
A further report is that it has a lovely scent, it wafted as I went past and surprised me.

@Tack, thanks. Hopefully it will do better next year for me.

Do you think Thomas A Becket is suitable for growing up a short obelisk. I've had one now for about 4 years, (plus another one which I ordered by mistake in April), but I don't think I've ever really seen the blooms as the older one is so floppy, they always end up facing downwards.

    Anyone suffered wind damage?

Seems ok here, glad I tied in the long canes on Malvern Hills though as though would have been whipping about all over the place otherwise and snapping.

Few casualties at the allotment though. Some beans and a couple tomato plants.

Nicotiana and Dahlias suffering wind damage. I have supported those but not all canes had support.

It's been another bad year up here for "unseasonably" high winds, and another one coming midweek. Flattened my Gallica Tuscany Superb, stripped every petal off the other roses as well as off every clematis flower.
