I was thinking the same, @Omori, lots of agricultural/animal feed places around here, so a cheap option. Just beware of the bunnies, the pellets/meal are like catnip to them, apparently.
I’m also looking for a more cost-effective potash source instead of using tomato feed, which is a niche product here and eye-wateringly expensive!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
@Tack and @Katsa and anyone else interested in the pot I pictured earlier (p276) the range is by Mica Decorations. Mine is 40Hx44W and was €29. They do a range of different matt textures, some metallic finish.

..no rose of the year for me... ..so let me see what I have for today.... I feel I keep rounding up the usual suspects at the moment.. 'Aquarell'... 'Octavia Hill'... Jude the Obscure... Kew Gardens.. Scented Garden... 'Wildberry'...
@edhelka and others, I'm curious; is there an immediate and obvious difference between alfalfa tea and a mix of comfrey (potash-rich) and nettle tea (nitrogen-rich)?
It has very little scent and is about 4-5 feet tall and probably the same spread. i did wonder if it could be Tottering by gently but it has more petals than TBG or possibly Worcestershire.
Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.
Weather seems to have settled down now the weekend is over. Tuscany a sizeable Gallica finally got knocked over by the wind. I cut the stems back that have no buds and harvested the flowers. It doesn't look amazing half-cut but nor does it knocked over. I don't know what the marks are on the petals, it not an effect of the camera.
This is sweet, plus it doesn't seem to mind being jostled in the border. Our Dream(s) a patio I think.
The beautiful Golden Gate, I've missed this yellow fellow. I hacked it back as every stem seemed either damaged or old (I neglected it a bit) but is now coming back. It's not a very manageable climber to be honest, stiff unpliable stems that would rather snap than bend, it occasionally throws up a stiff 8' cane and the thorns are frankly dangerous. However it is a wafter and very yellow and somehow warms the heart.

I managed to get out, mow the lawn, do some deadheading and some weeding this afternoon for the first time in a while!
Looking good, lots of growth on the roses and not too much damage from the wind, got everything tied in.
Accidentally “weeded” my new eryngium planum though! Yanked the poor thing straight out of the ground thinking it was a weed 😅
Potted it so I can nurse it better poor thing.
