Sorry to see you have Covid @Busy-Lizzie. Hope it passes soon. Don't fret about the garden. It will recover. Ours did. I came back from Chelsea one year to find all the rhubarb and hostas nuked, trees, shrubs and woody climbers pitted with scars and all the potted on seedlings I'd put out to enjoy the sun and rain were totally obliterated. Devastating on first sight and for a while afterwards but all except the seedlings recovered.
OH and I have both had our 4th jab and are, so far, clear. Need to be careful this week as I'm going into hospital on Sunday 3rd to get a new knee on Monday 4th and don't want any delays or complications.

After being good for over 2 years i finally caught it on the 12th June, felt really crap on the 10th but tested negative by the rig medic but went to to get throat lozenges on the Sunday and he tested me again and it was positive, put into isolation then a covid chopper home on the Tuesday then to be stuck in the living room on a z bed until i was clear again!
I have had the standard three vaccinations but, being under 75, I’m not eligible for the fourth jab. However I had Covid three weeks ago. Does having this provide residual immunity equivalent to having a fourth vaccine?
A friend and his husband flew to Amsterdam last week to join a cruise, booked nearly a year ago. The airline lost their luggage, then he developed a cough which meant a covid test before boarding for the cruise. It was positive, of course... not sure what happened about the luggage but they are now back at home feeling sorry for themselves, filling in forms for their holiday insurers.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
@BenCotto over 65s here have the right to a 4th vaccine, 6 months after their 3rd, unless they get Covid in between. That is considered to add immunity and means they wait another 6 months for a vaccine.
@Liriodendron I don't understand anyone booking cruises or flights whilst Covid is still rampant, or any other time really. If we can't drive or take a train we don't go.

I'm with you about cruises, @Obelixx... couldn't imagine much worse than being cooped up in a floating hotel with crowds of people. Give me a little cottage miles away from anywhere, preferably with a view, and I'm happy. Each to his own, I suppose.
Yes, UK is not necessarily in the lead with Covid vaccinations, whatever Boris might say. Ireland has also given boosters to anyone 65 and over.

@Ben Cotto, I only know about France. If you get Covid after the 3rd vaccine then it counts as the 4th vaccine but you have to get it officially recognised. I couldn't do that, just had Covid but we had a huge hailstorm which trashed both the local district nurses' cars so they couldn't do my test and I was too unwell to go to the lab.
