I got a text this week from "NHSvaccine" saying their records show I'm due an autumn booster. It seems early to me given that the nurse at the GP practice said probably mid-October at the earliest for my age group, and sure enough when I followed the link and answered the questions, I got "You do not need to book any coronavirus vaccination appointments using this service". What's the point in sending me the text then?
Presumably as a reminder that the booster is available. You wouldn't book through the organisation sending the text, but through your GP.
The text message said "You can book at <link>" and then the linked page said I couldn't (after answering several questions).
I've got to go back to the GP for a review appointment for something else in early December so if I haven't heard anything more about flu and covid vaccinations by then, I'll ask.

There are certainly some horrid viruses around at the moment. I have been ill for 3 weeks [ not COVID ] and now seem to have some post viral fatigue, which is horrible.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
@Ergates, we found the covid testing kits varied in quality. The ones the hospital sent us to use before OH's op were far superior to the bog standard ones we'd previously used. The hospital supplied ones had more testing liquid per tube than the others, some of which had hardly any liquid per tube. Hope you get better soon.
That's not good @punkdoc, are you still under medical supervision (not yourself!) and being monitored? Worth a call perhaps to get checked out? Hope you feel better soon as well.
I got the text message to book but then couldn't but assumed it's because I was working in a care home when I got my first vaccination. I believe the over 50's are eligible in the next couple of weeks in our area so will probably be able to go to a walk - in then.
A family member is just about the start a voluntary job as a greeter at our local infirmary and has been told that 'enforced' mask wearing is being reintroduced. It's only a month ago that it was scrapped in our health authority.
I got Covid now very mild, a tad bit weary / feverish Friday night and yesterday. Other than the odd rare cough and sneeze today you wouldn't know I have it . Had Covid June 2021 think I may of had Delta strain at that time seen as it was the one spreading, I were more ill with that one .

That sounds like it's been designed by the same company who did the system used by our surgery. Click on 'Book an Appointment', go through numerous more screens until you reach one which stated the surgery doesn't offer online appointment booking!
I was chatting to the doctor when I go the flu jab and said that as far as I'm concerned Covid is going to be around for a long time, and I'm going to treat it the same as I would a cold or flu. The doctor said they are doing the same.
