Gosh that takes me back. My dad was an electrical draughtsman - I still have his big wooden T Square somewhere. Fond memories of him standing at a big drawing desk in his bedroom, drawing various long lines very carefully.
I still have a set of his drawing tools, in a case, they must have a name, lovely chrome compass type things. What are they called do you know @Buttercupdays? Great memories @Lizzie27
I'm old enough to have begun my engineering career producing drawings by hand, in an office where everyone had a big A0 drawing board and parallel motion. I still have the pens, eraser shields, a stock of razor blades, set squares and the like. OH - an architect - also learned to draw first by hand and only later by computer. There is a satisfaction in a hand drawing. But computer drawing has its own pleasures, and it is possible to produce really beautiful drawings in CAD if you take your time and know what you're doing - OH has sold some prints - he's very good at it.

OH had his booster jab today, my appointment wasn't until next Saturday but OH asked if they would do me today to save going back later( centre is quite a way away from us) and they slotted me in, bonus! Both very tired tonight and a bit achy but to be expected.
My booster and flu jab are booked for Tues but only having the flu jab for now. I'm away next weekend so don't want to run the risk of feeling off it on the long drive up to the Highlands. I'll have the covid jab when I get back.
I got a text this week from "NHSvaccine" saying their records show I'm due an autumn booster. It seems early to me given that the nurse at the GP practice said probably mid-October at the earliest for my age group, and sure enough when I followed the link and answered the questions, I got "You do not need to book any coronavirus vaccination appointments using this service". What's the point in sending me the text then?
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
I had the Covid booster and flu jab at the GP surgery yesterday. All the staff were wearing masks but I would estimate that under half of those attending were. I had the Covid jab first then had to sit with about 30 other people waiting for the flu jab. Only about 3 others were wearing a mask so I thought 'stuff it' and took mine off too. I hate wearing the things anyway.
Today I can hardly lift my arm, and feel like somebody has been playing football with my back. Paracetomol are helping.

Presumably as a reminder that the booster is available. You wouldn't book through the organisation sending the text, but through your GP.
Started coughing yesterday ( I’ve had a sore throat and headache for over a week) so I did my 5th covid test, still negative. I’m surprised. Carrying on with the paracetamol and Olbas Oil for the painful sinuses. I had my autumn booster a couple of weeks ago, flu jab booked for a fortnights time.
