I think they're trying the herd immunity thing again. The cheapo option that worked so well last time.

In Bath, it was the opposite. People had positive LFT tests several times because of symptons but subsequent official PCR tests were negative, so they relied on the PCR tests - which is scary. I understand investigations into the private lab are still ongoing.

  • Does anyone know if there is any way of finding out when you are likely to be called for your booster? There were interactive sites you could use with the first jab, and although they weren't terribly accurate, there was at least some sense of progress up the list. I can't find anything this time around. I'm over 6 months now. My GP practice was excellent last time, and I trust them to get it right again, but I'd like to know when I can expect to get it.

I had a NHS text yesterday saying I would have one exactly 182 days from my second jab. Not sure I believe them but will wait and see.

It's difficult, @CostumedVole, I looked at the online calendar, noted how many days in a month (can never remember) then added it all up. Mine should be around the 16th Nov.

Had mine on 28/4 …. Can I borrow your fingers please @CostumedVole … I’m in the middle of cooking a Toad in the Hole, but if you work yours out I can add 14 days onto that 😉

I got a calendar on the laptop and physically counted with the cursor, as I am simultaneously Old School and New School. 188 + 14 = 202. I think... However, I was exactly 6 months just 6 days ago, so you should be there in 8 days' time, i.e. a week tomorrow. Gosh, maths is hard. Glad I didn't teach it.

I'm already overdue, by the look of things. I'd be hammering at the vaccination centre door if I thought it'd do any good.

If you’re at 6 the months since your 2nd jab you will get a text from the NHS, they ask that you don't contact them, they will contact you.
My 6 months was up in the 5th October give or take a bit, they texted yesterday.
