My mum (81) in care home had both flu & booster jabs last week. My dad (91) had flu jab at surgery couple of weeks ago and his booster is booked for the 16th. (Glos). Estimate my booster will be Nov onwards (allowing the 6 mth lapse). Our area in Glos have been very organised/efficient throughout - very impressive.
We had our flu jabs at the weekend. Have no idea when we will get our Covid booster, we were told not to have them together and wait at least 6 weeks inbetween vaccines. My 6 months isn't up for awhile yet so thats ok. @punkdoc what is your opinion about the booster if you had a really bad reaction to the covid vaccines. Not saying I won't have it, but am a bit worried about 3 in a short space of time.
Hi @star gaze lily Unless the reaction was bad enough to require medical intervention, I would still have it. The disease causes far more serious problems, than the vaccine.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
A practical question here - I'm a bit puzzled about the regulations about UK citizens travelling to the US at the moment. The restrictions seem to state that nobody can go "Do Not Travel due to Covid-19" - not even to change planes. But I know various familes that have had a holiday in the US this summer.
This is not a cue for an argument - I'm just wondering about the state of play now. A family member is dying and I was investigating restrictions for me and others to travel to the US.
@Allotment Boy I am making various enquiries. I was just wondering if there are people here with friends or family in America who know how things have been this year regarding travel there and back.
I have obviously read and seen articles regarding Covid denying, never met anyone. Just been out for papers, bloke at the cash point, something falling out of his pocket Said "your mask is falling out" he said he had never worn one,I just said oh, went to walk by. Then he told me there was no such thing as Covid. I asked what people were dying of then,he said show me proof people were dying and that I was insane!

On Monday 20 September 2021, the White House confirmed that it will lift most restrictions on travellers from the UK – as well as a handful of other countries including China and Brazil – allowing them to enter the US for the first time since March 2020. Those flying to the US will be required to be fully vaccinated. The change is expected to come into place from early November 2021.
