@Kili!!The Vendée is above Charente-Maritime and below Loire Maritime on the west coast so above La Rochelle and upto Noirmoutier.  We live 20kms from La Tranche-sur-Mer, Longueville, Jard-sur-Mer and about 40kms from Les Sables d'Olonne which hosts the Vendée Globe solo round the world yacht race every 4 years.
Ah... Obelixx I went to Île de Ré as you know just off La Rochelle about 4 years ago for a nice break. Nice and flat easy cycling for us old farts  :).

Wanted to move to France to buy somewhere remote near a small village with a bit of land but the misses wont move as the kids and grand kids live here. I keep suggesting they come and live with us and get jobs in France but none of them speak French. Too late now I suppose... C'est La Vie

A friend who lives in Bournemouth said two weeks ago that the beaches were too horrible to visit as visitors were going to the toilet behind the beach huts, the waste was piling up and the stench was unbearable.

Unbelievable scenes there today, whatever is the matter with some people, risking their lives to sit on a grubby beach. The rubbish left didnt bear thinking about, several tons of it apparently.
    I agree with @Kili, mountains every time.😊

Well, according to @Fairygirl, it's the same around some of the lochs and peaks of Scotland - people driving stupid distances to get to places with no refreshments or toilets or other facilities available and leaving unspeakable quantities of disgusting rubbish and some idiots even needing rescued!

I expect many other "beauty spots" are being similarly abused and disfigured.

Leicester currently has an outbreak, relating to the Eid celebrations. They were told not to, but did it anyway.  Get ready for a second wave. Meanwhile I am topping up my Vit D levels in the garden.

I buy Beaphar  Deep Clean spray. Designed for cleaning small animal hutches. 😁

Says it provides protection against Coronavirus, Norovirus, H1N1, the lot.

We went out for the first time since 11 May. Needed two stakes for the garden. Too little to order online but essential purchase. Not a nice experience.

Went to garden centre A. None in stock. Not a soul wearing a mask. Not a soul observing 2 metres, 1 metre, anything. They all looked at us as if we were from another planet.

Went to garden centre B. Ditto.

The world has moved on. Life has returned to normal. Just get out there and enjoy yourself seems to be the message.

You don't need to wear a mask to go to a garden centre.
