..but hey in a world when Trump is up for a Nobel Peace Prize...nothing is surprising 😂
Not heard that one. You are passing on Fake news aren't you ?  Please ? PLEASE ?  Are you sure he isn't up for the recently established Nobel Idiot Prize ?  I believe there are one or 2 contenders for that particular title :D   Should be an interesting contest.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Nah.. he's too busy destroying and infecting America at the moment to fuss over that.. besides, he plans on another four year.. and another four after that, etc.  He still has time to grab a Nobel or two.

Save your popcorn for when he doesn’t win the election..

He didn't sound very "cured" talking on Fox News today!

Nice of him to promise every American the same care he received free of charge. One on one medical care from a team of elite doctors, experimental drugs and a helicopter ride to and from hospital? Even Bernie Sanders' Medicare For All plan wouldn't have covered that!

Isn't euphoria a side effect of some of the drugs they pumped into him?

Go to Recent Posts ... next to the Title of this thread (at the right) you'll see a solid star.  Click on it and it should become just an outline.  That should mean you stop getting notifications about this thread.

Seems that there's puzzlement about why Covid is increasing 'in the North'.  We've been told that the virus increases more quickly in the cold and wet (hence the problems in slaughter houses) so why the puzzlement?  It's colder 'up North', and just recently has been wet too ... winter is coming ... could that be a factor?

I don't get any notifications. They used to fill up my inbox. I turned them all off.

As far as I know, there isn’t any evidence about temperature relating to the virus, although there is some link to seasons. I wonder if one factor is rain rather than cold, which means people congregate indoors more. I think there will always be hotspots with this virus. Maybe London isn’t a peak hotspot because it was badly hit last time and therefore there may be some immunity - no evidence for this, just an idea. Also hospitalisations and death maybe a bit less at the moment as many of the vulnerable succumbed on the last wave. The stats for the over 85s, and the over 60s to a lesser extent, is worrying.

I fully expect that Boris will announce, this evening, some tighter restrictions and lockdowns. The update from the medical officers was fascinating this morning and they have paved the way, with evidence and statistics, to explain why will be facing these restrictions.
