That's a welcome relief @AuntyRach. Hope all is well with you, now, and in the coming months  :)
They're commandeering the SECC in Glasgow for an emergency hospital. Well, it's not exactly going to be needed for the foreseeable.
We threw caution to the winds and had a chippy. Our local chippy is very good and although we don't often have them, they suffered break ins recently, so carrying on supporting them is the very least we can do. We're hardly spending anything just now as we can't shop normally anyway!
We had a laugh because when daughter did the order, she said 'Mum, do you want a KitKat?' Not something I ever do, but we treated ourselves - she got ice cream as well. The bubble burst when they phoned her and said there were no KitKats. I decided to have an entitled, self centred meltdown and shouted 'Noooooo, it's so unfair. I want a KitKat, I deserve one. Get me one right away'
I just wanted to know what it felt like....

I sent all the rubbish weather to you all and kept some nice stuff for myself. You're welcome.... ;)
Good double figures, sun and no wind. Lovely jubbly. Got lots of prepping jobs done, and disturbed the little mouse when I was working near his home. Didn't stop him necking back sunflower hearts in the birdcage. They've also had a paint job to keep them tidy. I'll need to up the rent.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Thoughts are with you @AuntyRach as the pressure mounts.  We are so grateful for you all.

We’ve been shopping at our local butcher and green grocer too - they have been absolutely brilliant the last few weeks.  Have vowed we will continue to do so once the crisis is over - easier now that I am no longer working (shops that open 9-5 don’t work if you both work full time).

Finally sowed my tomato and cucumber seeds - much later than normal, but I hope they catch up.

Hope Possum is keeping well in Namur @Obelixx .....tricky times for so many families.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️

Thinking of all the NHS staff and other key workers out there caring for us, trying to keep us safe and sustaining us. We owe you a huge debt of gratitude. ❤️ 🙏

This morning is bright and sunny here in Norfolk ... is it going to be warm enough to tempt me out into the garden ... it’s been so chilly in the shade, and this garden still gets a lot of shade at this time of year.

Glad you’ve not got ice @Pat E ... mind you, I treated myself to a G&T yesterday evening, but there were no ice cubes cos we’d taken them out of the freezer to make room to store food 🙄 😉

Morning all/afties Pat. Ice in a day or two then  ;)
A grey day here - it was nice while it lasted. Rain for tomorrow, and some windy, wintery stuff for the end of the week.
In the current doom and gloom, the chap on the BBC news who is a postie, and he's doing it in fancy dress, is the best tonic anyone could have. Just brilliant  :D

We all need to have something to smile about, and some of my daffs are opening now, including the ones my sister gave me a couple of years ago for a 'big' birthday. I lost some due to rotting, but plenty have survived. Some of the new ones I bought last autumn are also starting to open.

    Hi all

MIL is hanging on, although seems to be getting weaker.

My 2 sisters have separately  been visiting our mum in her sheltered home every week. They had been allowed to do this, because they were classed as her carers.
The home has now stopped them doing this, which although I am sure is the right thing to do, means mum has no visitors at all.
I spoke to her last night and she was in a terrible state.
How do we all cope with this stuff?

    Stay well.
