Thank you for passing on that sad news LB. Joyce's daughter has a lot on her plate at the moment and I'm really struggling to remember another year which got off to such a rubbish start as this one.

I've not tried Rington's tea, but I know it's a very traditional brand. Rarely see it in the shops darn sowf but I see it occasionally in Yorkshire. May give it a try. Bet you're glad you didn't go out after all aren't you?

Hazel - I'm keeping the wood shreddings to use as a mulch and a lot of the logs which have been cut into 10-12" length ready for us to split - which reminds me I need to hire a powered log splitter for next week. They're currently grinding the massive stump and I'm not sure what's happening to all the resulting sawdust and chips....

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

T'Bird, I am glad that I didn't go out and I can recommend this tea. Another consumer test on the way! Its good to think that the trees are going to be recycled one way or another.

Yes Hazel, she is having to act as executor for both estates. I will pass on your message.

LB how lovely having tea and biscuits brought to your house.  Enjoy.  What a beautiful day it’s turned out to be.  Topbird it has indeed been a sad start to the year.  LB I feel sad for Joyce’s daughter and it was kind of her to keep you in the loop.   LB I’ve done what you do after Lily’s tv this afternoon.  Hope you’re getting on okay and Lily is amused.

TBird , the tree cutting seems like a marathon effort . At least you will get some logs and mulch out of it .  I hope that you have some better news of your FIL.LB Joyce’s daughter will have a lot to do dealing with two estates . Please send her my best wishes . Hazel I think a quick run to the big town and back is a good idea if you have to go .
I have been in the garden . Pool eventually cleaned ,I have been emptying it over several weeks . It is now filled and ready for any little critters who would like to move in .

Ruby, I hope that you've put up the 'To Let' sign!
I'm so happy that I got the cloth things off the string as its only gone and started to rain again. At least the GH has had an airing as has the house - the first time this year I've actually opened windows! I've filled up the bird feeders too. Now I think I'll go and look at plants.

    Good evening all.
I took a long afternoon nap. Exhausting day after me. Schools are closed for two weeks. I still must go to school and have online classes. It's a new experience for me and colleagues, we shall see how it's going to work.
Spring weather is also over. Today was cloudy and now is very windy.
    How are you all?

Hello Ante. I have had a good day. It was a real Spring day - mild and sunshine for a long time and it was nice to get outside. Your online classes sound very interesting. I wonder how many students will take advantage and accidently not be there

Ante it was a beautiful sunny day today not as windy as the last few days.  I’ve been pottering doing some small jobs.  I hope the online teaching is successful but I hope things will get back to normal over time.   The students will be disappointed as they probably thought they would have a two week break from study.
