Good morning LB I need to do the dreaded ho*****rk too but hoping to sow some seeds later if I can find anywhere in the topsy turvey house to put my heated propagator! I think I cleared rooms too soon as I imagine kitchen will now go on hold. I need to start my sweet peas!
Raining heavily so don’t mind an indoor day too much especially as I got so much done yesterday in the garden!
What is everyone else up to today?

Hi Chive and Rubee, kitchen plans on hold until landlords back off holiday. As fiancé is self employed and there is no work because people are not really going out at the moment he will be home a lot until this blows over and  although bills are covered we need to hold back on any extra expenses sinew carpet and sofa will have to wait. He should be able to get on with the painting though and lots of little jobs so trying to stay positive about the situation. My job on the other hand will be extremely busy. 2020 is not being an easy year so far!

Morning Debs, Chive and Ruby. Its difficult to get your head around the impact this virus has on life in general. I'm not talking about the ludicrous fighting over toilet rolls by people who should know better but the fact of parents who may have to suspend working to look after children whose schools close. Businesses who lose staff as they have to isolate, shopkeepers - the list is absolutely endless. Its frightening what a microscopic virus has the power to do. I heard on the TV that Matt Hancock says that the elderly (over 70's) WILL be told to stay indoors for 4 MONTHS! Hands up all those who do not consider themselves elderly!

Yes LB it’s going to be belt tightening here if it goes on too long as being self employed in a service/ leisure industry isn’t the best at the moment. Never mind worse things happen and as long as I can garden I can stay positive. Sowing the sweet peas today thinking of mom, she adored them.

Debs, that is such a positive, happy memory thing to do. I gave in to temptation the other day and bought a packet of giant sunflower seeds. I've never grown them myself before but I feel I should give it a go. Chive, I think that major caution and following the given sound advice should help with your Mum's care. Jack is doing well with the new medication and he told me he had been out shopping with his daughter yesterday. I am still staying clear of actually visiting him as the remnants of my cold are still hanging around although the cough is definitely on the way out thank goodness. I have had official notification now that U3A activities are off (thats my Canasta) and the Flower Club is now cancelled until this situation is over. I'll have to give in and get some boring stuff done as - surprise, surprise - its raining again!

Morning all.   I was up late last night watching tv and the updates.  Mainly stating U.K. not taking the necessary precautions and being complacement.  Managed to get back to bed and eventually get some sleep and late on parade this morning.  It’s lovely and sunny here.
