Good morning SGL, Rosie, Chive and all later arrivals. Some amazing and heartbreaking pictures of Storm Ciara and the damage its caused all over the country. I hope sincerely that everyone on the forum and their families are safe. This picture was taken off the coast of France.

Chive I hope mum is okay. It’s good your sister was with her. I’m sure she’ll look forward to your visit. LB what a wild picture it really shows strength. I’m having a rest day today after a bad night. I’m not quite awake yet but having a second cup of tea.
Morning everyone . Chive I join everyone in the hope that your mum is ok . Your pic is amazing and a little scary LB . On holiday in Cromer ,we saw similar waves . Another indoor day for a lot of people . Chive take care travelling .Anyone else going out take care .
Morning everyone Rain has stopped at last and there's a few patches of blue trying to fright their way through the clouds. But still very windy. I've never done Jury service Hazel, but OH has a few times. One went on a few weeks longer than expected and we thought we'd have to cancel our holiday. We'd booked it before we knew anything about jury service, luckily we were able to go. It was when the boys were young and they were so excited about going on a plane 😂😂
Hope your mum is ok Chive, thankfully your sister was with her. Take care in this weather. Great photo LB, even though the weather is horrendous. Stay safe everyone, maybe another indoor day.
I decided that before I went absolutely stir crazy I had to get out. I had run out of my bird food so a drive to the Corn Mill was in order. The first time I've driven anywhere in almost 3 weeks and it was not as bad as I expected. There were many signs along the way of yesterday's chaotic weather damage. I was in and out of the Mill quick sticks and once the helper had loaded my two sacks of food into the boot I was off homeward. Three quarters of the way home and the rain started again so I was glad when I finally hit the drive. Bird feeders now full and bird bath scrubbed and refreshed. I was pleased to see that the 'pond' that had formed on mine and the next door neighbour's front gardens had drained away. Hopefully there won't be as much rain today.

I’ve been asleep for a couple of hours and feel more human for it. Hello Hazel enjoy your time with 23 how lovely. LB it’s good you’re back from your shopping trip for the birds and that your newly formed pond has now gone. Lily I hope you and oh are okay and well soon get some better weather. When I opened the back door this morning frost had formed so it had been a cold night. The rain has stopped but still windy. Chive take care in the wind.
OH and I have been playing Rummicub most of the morning .He beat me four to nil .Good that you are home safely LB . Lily your weather seems better than ours . We have had hail stones out of a near clear sky . Hazel , you have had a lovely if exhausting morning. Feet up now .
