Come on B3 splill!,, Well, the weather was gorgeous, I have started reading the hourly weather just in my actual area, what a load of *******, said rain all day, nope, it has beeen windy, but sunny and blue sky, wish I had done the washing!!
Beautiful clear skies tonight and owls towhittowooing as I went down to check the chucks. They've had a busy day helping OH weed the potager and were already all tucked up, crooning gently.

DPD finally managed to deliver the vet-prescribed food for our aged cat this afternoon - it normally takes 3 days to come, but this time they couldn't find the house and it took nearly 3 weeks to sort it out. But the RTBC is that it arrived just before we ran out...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
About 8pm last night our doorbell rang with a delivery from Laithewaites Wine. We hadn't ordered anything so it was a bit of a surprise. Opened it to find a bouquet of flowers and a nice bottle of wine. A gift from my wife's work to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. I thought it was really nice. She burst into tears. What is it with women?
Seriously though, my missus was feeling pretty down with the announcement of the new lockdown (not down from being married to me for 40 years I hope ) and such a lovely gesture just pushed her over the edge.
What a lovely gift ... it shows how much your wife is valued (and not just by you). Many congratulations to you both 🥂
It really does. She's a damn hard worker and was missed when she left her previous job due to redundancy. They recruited a couple of years later and was called by them to see if she wanted to go back. She got her current job off the back of a short period of temping she did for them. The temp job finished and she was called a few weeks later to see if she was interested in a role which had come up. She went in, assuming it was for interview, but was told the job was hers if she wanted it. She retires in just under 2 years and they have already asked her if she would be available for ad-hoc work at busy times.
