This probably shouldn't have made me cheerful but there you go, it did make me smile! So, zooming the family and catching up with daughters and grandsons, the youngest grandson (3 years) disappeared then reappeared behind his mother dragging a small coffee table into the kitchen.
Disappeared again then reappeared carrying his toddler chair, disappeared again and appeared with the kitchen step at which point we were all shouting and pointing for the benefit of his mother who had her back to him.
It seems she has had to relocate 'treats' to the top of the fridge and he was building an edifice to reach them! We all had a good laugh except my daughter who now has to find another place to store them.........
"The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it." Sir Terry Pratchett
We had a similar Zoom happening last Saturday, with my son and his family. Their rather large dog decided he wanted to be in centre picture so tried to climb over my son. Turned out dog was reminding them it was his dinner time and they'd had more than enough time online.
The heavy rainstorms we have been experiencing for the last couple of weeks seem to have passed. The sun is shining. The garden is beginning to look good. Roses are blooming. Managed to get OH a birthday present. Heard the first Bee Eaters flying overhead today. I still have three bottles of champagne left to drink 🥂

Why are jackdaws sitting on the backs of elderly police officers?
