@Obelixx it's a simple case of no will power 🤣🤣 after all I am a man and I am weak 😭😭. Too true on the stew many moons ago we used to take stew down the fields for my dad's dinner in harvest time, it was always 2 days old and dad always had bread and butter for mopping up the gravy. Oh it was great I'm now starving where's the fresh parkin 🍰🍰
My only regret from retirement is no longer being presented with about 3/4 of a Christmas cake when we went back to work. One of my colleagues was given one by her mother-in-law every year despite none of them really liking them, and broad hints being dropped to the m-i-l. They had to cut it due to the m-i-l always being there at some stage but I received the rest. It's a tough life.
Two new plants just arrived in the post from a forum member. A shade-tolerant geranium and a yellow scabious. Just popping out to pot them up and feed the birds.
