I really don't have the raw material for looking fabĀ :/ No excuse for not being kind though. I always manage to be kind to animals. With people, it can be a lot harder.

Horrible weather here. Again. We aren't flooded so I know it could be far worse, but I'm so fed up with the wind. My veg garden fences are all flat in the mud - the posts have just snapped & once one goes the rest can't stand. I've had to give up on the winter veg - the rabbits and rodents have had it all. I'm hoping they'll leave the chard and the garlic long enough for me to get some temporary fences up. I've also lost the washing line - post snapped in half.

I've not seen my gardening mojo since about SeptemberĀ :|

    Morning all, afternoon Pat

I'm so fed up with this weather too Raisingirl.
Its my only day off and its raining, windy, gloomy and miserable! Its been this way on my only day joff for four weeks now! I was in bed by 9pm last night after working all day in horrid weather then cooking roast chicken when I got home. That was me done!
The forecast says it should brighten up this afternoon, so I'm trying to be optimistic!

Not a time of year to be without heating so glad boilers are sorted Allotmentboy and Lirio!
  • Think your mojo and mine have taken themselves off somewhere @raisingirl šŸĀ

Hiya @WonkyWomble ... try to take it a bit easier today šŸ¤—Ā

  • I think most of us are struggling, so much wet & we are not even flooded, but still can't get going in garden or plots. At least this enforced rest has let my hand & wrist recover but I will have to ease into it again so I don't go back again.

Greetings Forkers.Ā  Another dull grey day here and windy to boot.Ā  Managed a bit of gardening yesterday but not really feeling the mojo yet.Ā  Planted half the onion sets but needed OH to fok over more bed and remove deep rooted bindweed and apple mint to make space for the rest.Ā  Too claggy to hoe or rake smooth so they'll have to wait.

Cleared almost a square metre of weeds from around roseĀ Traviata - vicious thorns - and planted out some bulbs that had been languishing in temporary pots but even that was heavy going.

Have often wondered about a cruise to see Norwegian fjords but the sheer size of that Diamond Princess would put me off that kind of cruise @Allotment Boy.Ā  Ā Horrendous prospect even with an outside cabin.Ā  Ā Well missed on that one I think.

  • We did a trip to the fijords some years ago on the Hurtegruten line these are working ships that ply up and down the coast making deliveries. These ships are not so big only a few hundred people max. To be honest that's what we thought we were getting on the Japan trip , should have done more research, had no idea it was a huge cruise liner wouldn't have booked if we had known. The advantage of being on a ship is your hotel room moves with you and you don't have to keep packing and unpacking as when you move from hotel to hotel. This must be balanced by the shear size of some of these ships with thousands on board.Ā

    Evening everyone.
I shudder at the thought of being stuck on a cruise ship - with or without a virus to worry about.

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday - at work, rest or play.
Just did Sunday lunch and visiting today (the usual) so settling in for the evening now.Ā
