LB I hope you have a drier day tomorrow.  MU hoping it’s not too wild near you.  Night night everyone.  Sleep well.

Night night Rebecca. T'Bird, I'll make a point of making lots of noise in the garden. In all the years I've lived here (30+) I never had rats in my garden until the stables, one house along from me closed down last year. My next door neighbour has been plagued with them too. I spotted a kestrel hovering over the field at the back until he/she was mobbed by a crow but there is a lot of wild life around me.

The storm has calmed down so I shouldn't be woken up with howling wind.

LB, I hope you don't find any rats when you carry out an inspection.

Haven't seen Lants lately. Hope all is well with her.

    Night all.

Morning all. Gosh I'm late on parade today. I think all that gardening yesterday got me really tired. I'm aching in my arms and shoulders after all that ivy/honeysuckle wrangling!

I'll be giving the garden a miss today - expecting wild weather about midday. A quick trip up to the post box with a birthday card for my niece will be the total of my out door activity I think. Batten down the hatches Joyce and M-U!

good morning all! Lovely lie in after a few sleepless nights but rather a strange dream arguing with Elton John over a fondue! He wanted to dip a mars bar in the cheese! These rock stars!
We got everything sorted and should look smart at funeral, may seem irrelevant but appearance was everything to mom and I want to look my best. She could get very indignant if people were badly dressed I remember a long rant of hers when a lady she was dining with put on a dark cream cardigan over a lilac and white dress, she was not impressed. I am pleased that memories of her in better times are starting to replace those of her at the end.
Rats and high winds such excitement! Stay safe and warm everyone

    Morning Chive and Debs.
Debs,  what a dream! What did you have to eat last night before you went to bed? It seems that all is finally falling into place regarding the funeral. You have the outfit which you are sure your Mum would have approved of and yes, the nice - and often funny - memories are very comforting.

Yes I think the older generation were more concerned with these things and obeyed the sartorial rules more strictly. Wasn’t there a song about a man wearing brown shoes to a funeral? Moms colour coordinated washing lines, white to cream then through the whole spectrum to black at the end all with matching pegs was a sight to behold!

Morning all.  Stormy again during the night so I have three empty bins to retrieve. I am longing for a decent spell of weather.

Debs, my mother was the same when it came to being co-ordinated.  I have got past the stage of being too concerned as long as there's no glaring clashing colours.

LB, I hope your aches and pains disappear.
