That's a lovely little tale Pansy. An ex-neighbour had a cat who certainly spent as much, if not more, time with me as he did with her. He didn't like the lady (cat) of the house🙂
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Sweet pics Pansy. I love looking at other pets too. I’ve been to the sm this afternoon. It was fairly busy just getting some essentials for tea. I had a late start but the i*****g is done and there’s food in the fridge ready for tea.
When I was small we had an Old English Sheep Dog called Ned . In those days dogs roamed freely, so little traffic . One day I was going to the local shops with mum ,when a lady standing on her doorstep asked us why we had her dog with us .Mum said that it was our dog .It turned out that Ned was visiting the lady every day . He frequently spent some time warming himself in front of her fire . He was there so often she thought that he was living with her . Ned spent the rest of his happy life being (owned ) by two families.
Afties all. I've had a fun day with my Bestie. Tried crocheting and by the time I'd finished it looked like I'd be making fine rice noodles. Bestie was convulsed at my attempts. Ah but just wait until it is her turn to attempt to do it. Thank you for the tip about crochet cotton Joyce, I shall get some next time I'm in town. I will not be beaten.
PF your two cats do look contented. I did smile when I heard about Miss Porker and her sneaking around to steal LC's food. Such enterprise! I've heard variations of the cat who had multiple homes and meals of course. They are wonderful creatures.
Hello there Rosie.b.
Ruby, I have two stories to tell about canny pets. When my Mum was young she had a little dog - I'm not sure what breed but he would regularly get on the bus, on his own, and take a ride to my Mum's aunts' house. He had learned the route by travelling with Mum and he always got spoilt with treats by Mum's aunts. He would then get back on the bus and travel home again. Everybody knew him. The second story was about our corgi, Jinx. The ice cream van used to drive up the lane and stop outside our house so that all the neighbourhood children could queue up for ice creams. Jinx would sit up and beg when all the children had been served and he got a free little cornet every time they came. The ice cream van man thought he was wonderful. Not only that but there was a primary school at the end of our lane and Jinx used to go there at dinner times and play football in the yard with the children. He was a very sweet dog and again, well known by the children and staff so they knew he wasn't a threat.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Hello all. Good day at work with my favourite locum pharmacist and then tea and “Call the Midwife” with youngest daughter. Going to have an early night and hope for no dreams. I am a very light sleeper ( that’s what having 6 babies will do for you!) so wake often and so remember many of my dreams. I must have a very vivid imagination because some of them are beyond belief.
I am pretty sure my cat Leo visits other people for food! Lovely stories about pets they are definitely very canny when it comes to dinner time.

PS - Why have you got my dad's hearth rug? 🤔😉😁
PF, love the cat pics.
Debs, good to know you are happier now at work. Hope you get a decent sleep.
I decided that the bin for recycled plastic and metal wasn't going out tonight as it's not heavy enough to stay upright in the wind.
