Tee hee PF - did you leave big rut marks everywhere? I must look up grippers as I have no idea what they look like. Are they a faff to put on and off? Chive what a fab picture of Nel. If I go anywhere near Lily's tummy she grabs me and I get bunny kicks! I did used to have a lovely cat who let me snuggle him but I have to say that I used to make fart noises on his tummy! He loved it.
Chey, I've been hitting the hot chocolate lately - salted caramel flavour or orange are my favourites.
I would love a shop like that. dispensing my own goods. The trouble is that I think I would get carried away.

Oooh not tried that one Chey. I'll give it a go. I find the hot chocolate comforting on a very cold day.

LB - I bought some Yak-Trax when we first went to Norway a couple of years ago. They’re coils of elasticated wire which ‘slip’ over the sole of your shoe. I say ‘slip’ but find them more of a wrestle unless I’m sat down.
Excellent for walking over packed snow & ice but lethal on hard floors. I only use them for proper outdoor winter walking. Will take them to Germany as OH wants to hike up to a gorge & waterfall and it will probably be icy underfoot.

... or wintertrax big River, you’ll stay upright tested on blocks of ice.

    Pansy that sounds good.

Thanks for the information T'Bird. They sound too much like hard work to me Its not the putting them on my shoes its the removal of them when I go into shops. Until I have mastered Joyce's exercises I find standing steadily on one foot difficult. I suppose I could carry one of those collapsible stools but then I'd have to have a backpack to carry the collapsible stool in. I'm beginning to think I'm trying hard to talk myself out of considering getting some. Then again, I am very insecure walking on slippery, icy ground so they could be a boon. Ho hum.
Chive I have managed to crochet something that looks a wee bit like a pale mini shredded wheat. I will not be beaten though and intend to keep trying. I have to get some crochet cotton as advised by Joyce.

A very good, if frosty, morning to one and all.
