Debs lovely thoughts. I’m so pleased your son is on the mend and your son will be so pleased to have his mum around. Try to get some rest too you must be tired. I hope the service was a good tribute to mum. I’m still in shock about news of Joyce as we all will be. Chive keep wrapped up and have a good day with the children. LB I hope your neighbour will feel better soon.
PF - you are still doing it before breakfast. No one said that the work and the breakfast had to be on the same day! Don't talk to me about honeysuckle. That was my job last week, and the green bin is groaning with it. Emptied this Thursday woo hoo!
Chive, I've a feeling that they may NOT notice the omission.
Its going dark here already and it looks as if fog is forming.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I managed to get through to Jack on his personal patient phone on the second attempt - after a mechanical man came on telling me about the extortionate fees per minute I would be charged. He is making steady progress but is looking foward to being home. Yes Chive, I'm Kitty sitting still. I got back across the road before the rush hour but it is definitely foggy and there is that fine drizzle which seems to wet you through to the skin. I'll remember 'very healthy' the next time I am faced with something unpalatable.

Pansy - struggling not to see pictures in my head I didn't need to see... 😬 BTW - how's LC doing. Has his appetite picked up a little?
I've just had to order rat poison and a couple of baiting boxs. Neighbour has seen a couple of big rats playing on her lawn this morning plus a baby one. They're doing their best to deal with the situation but the rats probably now have a nest in the next-door-along's huge log - snug and warm under the tarpaulin.
We need a concerted effort to deal with them so I shall be speaking to friend next-door-but-one and reminding her that next door (the other side) has a rat in the shed and had a rat in the house last week. Apparently it had chewed through the plastic airbrick & got into the cavity wall. Nice.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Leaving next Friday for an o/night ferry crossing and heading down to the Alps over 2 days so OH can do his Milk Tray man skiing impersonation. I am busy collecting films and TV progs on my iPad...
Think by the time I've had a day mooching round churches, museums and shops in the nearby town, done the round trip on the mountain railway & cable cars and done some painting and palaeography there won't be much time for TV and films - but nice to have them as a back up.
Hoping to stop off in a couple of spas - one on the way down and one on the way back and also an overnighter on a camping place in the grounds of a brewery with a good restaurant. Went there last German trip - very nice!
Getting close now.

Oh T'Bird. I have serious continental envy. Love the idea of your OH impersonating the Milk Tray man. I am looking forward to any posts and pictures you can regale us with whilst you are away.

The sixties - mini skirts, Courreges boots, Op art clothing, Mondrian outfits, maxi coats and dresses, Afghan coats, panty hose as tights were once known, kaftans, head bands, strings of wooden beads, chokers of African bead work, kohl eyeliner. That list sums up my sixties. I may have missed out things - who knows.
p.s. The Cavern Club.
