Afties all. I have a black hole in my house into which things disappear, never to be seen again. I think your motivations may be in there Chive and PF. If I find the black hole, I'll have a rummage for you.
T'Bird, I spotted a big rat in my back garden this morning. The bait boxes will have to come out again. I hate having to do it but I cannot tolerate rats.

Been out and filled the council garden bin ready for collection tomorrow. Mainly twigs and small branches blown down in recent high winds but I've also cut off some of the very lowest branches of shrubs next to the fence to reduce ratty cover. Fortunately no signs they'd been there.👍
    Domestic accounts beckon now😟

Meant to add that I'm another big Monty Python fan and was saddened to hear of Terry Jones passing today. Must remember to put my green bin out for tomorrow's collection.

Pansy I’m glad the blood test passed quickly for you.  I’ve been to sm to get a card for Sameena which is quite a pretty card to remember Joyce.  I think she would approve.  Shoes arrived from Big River H****r ballet, very comfortable.  I went for my normal size.  I realised I hadn’t had a new pair of shoes in 5 years so overdue.  LB I hope Kitty is doing well and looking forward to your visits.  Take care.  Chive have you been pottering.  Enjoy your cup of tea.

LB - Sorry you've seen a rat again. There seem to be a lot of problems this year.

I have bait boxes and bait/poison being delivered tomorrow. Decided to go for poison blocks. They are more weatherproof than the traditional grains and are secured in the bait boxes with a metal bar so the rat can't carry them off somewhere where they can be found by a hungry squirrel, hedgehog or other non-target animal.

Found poison grains yesterday under the fence where a rat had obviously dragged them - just waiting for one of my curious wrens or robins to have a little peck😢. I bagged the grains up and disposed of them but I need to have a word with the neighbour....

    Good evening to all.
After few days of high wind, today was beautiful. It wasn't even cold. I don't have a lot of free time but I regularly read everything what you write.

Pansy, Sameena will be pleasantly surprised when she see how many friends Joyce had.

    Hi Pansy.
    Sometimes I am. (Masochist)😂
I put Christmas wheat in the garden. Birds ate all, sparrows, tits and pigeons the most.

Well according to your Christmas wheat we are going to have a good growing year so I don't mind it helping the birds to grow too Ante.
Sameena said that Joyce was always talking to her about her 'friends' on the forum so I think that it will be lovely for her to hear how much we valued Joyce as our friend.

Chive, try cashew nuts in your veggie chilli. I like them in curries too. Rosie, those shoes sound ideal. I'm like that with my trainers. Get one type and stick to it.
