Afternoon all.  I've had a rellie and her friend here for most of the day and they just left for the two hour drive home.

Chey, nice to see Luco in your avatar.  You were lucky to get the window shut in time this morning.

Ruby, you will be able to hear sweet nothings being whispered to you now.

Hazel, I hope 23 settles and enjoys his stay.

    LB, rats >:)

Ante, did you and the dog enjoy a good long walk?

Pansy I can recommend hearing aids . I was tested and fitted within the allotted hour . The tests were very thorough. What I didn’t know was the service and the hearing aids were free . Not only that I didn’t have to go to the hospital  the NHS use Sp Savers and other opticians and they send you a list of the places that you can be fitted .

That is very efficient Ruby. Glad you are sorted. I meant to say T'Bird that I know those collective nouns for groups of cats/kittens. When I was younger I used to love looking them all up. I like 'a leap of leopards' and 'a crash of rhinos'.

Hazel, you will have fun with 23. How long is he staying? Is it just the one night?
Joyce a 2 hour drive is some going but at least there is no wintry weather to make it problematic.

LB - I think a glaring of cats is so appropriate on so many occasions and a kindle of kittens sounds as cute as a - well - as a kitten. 🙂

I am popping into the audiologist on Monday. Not for a hearing test but to see if they are ready for sucking out🤢. They feel a bit chugged up and I could do without ear problems while we're away. Appt at the ready for the following week if they're ready for doing.

Has anybody else had microsuction? I always had mine cleaned out by irrigation at the doctors - but there's usually a longish wait for an appt and I don't think it's particularly good for your ears. Microsuction is supposed to be much gentler with fewer risks of ear damage - but this would be my first time so I'm interested to hear how pleasant or otherwise it is.

PF, you snuckered in there. I have often thought about learning sign language. When I  was in my early teens I learned how to write Braille. Funny little typewriters with only 6 keys. Mum and I signed up for it at night school when we lived in Malaya (as it was then). Thats another skill I wish I had continued with.

    Evening to all.
I'm finished for today and now is handball time.  Poirot is after that, so it will be tv night.
It was very pleasant walk today but without snow. I'll go tomorrow again. Now is rain and wind outside and much cooler than today.
I done a lot of painting and it's just few thing s left for next week.
