I think she fooled many of us Ante. Well done Rosie!
Collared doves are very common in the UK Ante but they are not native to Britain. They arrived here, probably from Europe, in the 1950s and have settled permanently. They are lovely birds.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning everyone. Enjoy your time at your cottage Ante . Rufus loves snow .Sorry that Little Cat is not well Pansy .How are you and Mr M ? Enjoy your weekend Chive. LB i had trouble getting on Rez this morning .
Ante - hope you get a chance to relax this weekend - you always sound very busy!
Pansy - sorry to hear about LC. As you said he has done very well bearing in mind the original prognosis but it's still sad to hear. I wonder if Elsa's bullying is also a sign he's not doing so well. Cats don't like sickness in the family as it weakens the family group.
Apropos not much at all - according to an online dictionary (it's on-line so it must be right🤨) a family of domestic cats may be called a clowder or a glaring (if they don't get on very well - you may have one of those Pansy) and a group of kittens may be called a kindle.
No idea if those 'facts' are true or not but they're nice terms😁
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Morning Hazel. Enjoy play time! Does 23 have a favourite game? You're right about the bulbs pushing up. My snowdrops are definitely showing and, as I drove into town this week, I noticed that the daffs planted by the council on one of the roundabouts were about 6" high with quite fat yellow buds showing. That's way too early...

Prevented The Squawkening 3.0 this morning - lying in bed thinking "That's a hell of a lot of crows flying around squawking". This was quickly followed by the realisation that the last two times this happened, Luco brought in and promptly dismembered a bird all over the carpet - cue an elegant (not) leap to shut the window, rapidly followed by a thump as Luco + what looks like a wing in his mouth (ewwww) smacks into the window, looks confused then disappears back onto the roof.
Morning later arrivals. T'bird, I meant to say that I saw a big rat abseiling down my front wall the other day. I thought I'd sorted all of them! I think it must have climbed up the hydrangea on the wall and only got 1.5m before the hydrangea ran out so it had to come back down.
Chive! Aaaarrrrrgggghhhh!
Chey - I LOVE your new avatar. Brilliant! Luco is a real hunter for sure.

Pansy I hope Elsa backs off a little making lc more comfortable in their home environment. Ante enjoy your walk with your dog today getting some fresh air. LB wishing Jack your cat sitter a good recovery and that they look after him in hospital and the food is not too bad. His cat will be missing him whilst he’s away. Thoughts are with Runny and Lily. MU hope it’s getting warmer where you are and the indoor cats and outdoor cats are okay. I will be pottering today and must take another look at the vacuum. Joyce I hope the exercises over time will be a success for you. The sun is out and it’s a lovely day.

Nice try Luco, but not today!
Thoughts to Runny and all in the quiet corner.
