Afternoon - en route to Albstadt - our parking place for tonight. Should get there mid afternoon and might have a little trip to the sauna / spa across the road. Good day for it - cold wet and grey.

Cathedral yesterday was good then we went for local beer at the brewery then delicious dinner at a fusion Asian restaurant. Very Japanese but with Thai & a bit of Chinese thrown in for good measure. Yum.

Debs - have a great afternoon.

LB - as I said the other day - this virus is very loyal😬 Enjoy the rugby this afters.

Pansy - I keep meaning to go on a tree pruning course. All the ones round here are organised by tree nurseries and you can add a zero to the price of yours. Flask of soup, supply of handwarmers and a stool - get yourself there!

That notice from Norwich you put on the site yesterday made me ashamed to come from that part of the world. What a thoroughly nasty thing to both write and display. No wonder so many non-brits are fearful of a racist backlash after Brexit.Horrible.

Grammar points not withstanding (which made it laughable) I still deeply and sincerely hope whoever wrote it soon requires the attention of one of the many non-English nurses and doctors at the Norfolk & Norwich hospital - and his treatment involves inappropriate use of colonoscopes and other rectal apparatus.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Afternoon everyone
Hi Hazel, good to see you 🤗 love the new name @Songbird-1
We're both well and so are the poppets thank you Chive.
I can't remember the smell of TCP, not something I've ever used. Remember my mum saying she couldn't use it as she was allergic to it, affected her skin. Good way of keeping the cats away from the bathroom though 😂
    Have a lovely holiday TB.
Lovely story about your brother PF, must be very talented to make banjos.
    OH watching the rugby........oh heck😕

Afties all. Gosh, watching England play is not good for my blood pressure. It was not to be their day today.
Hazel, your granddaughter will enjoy that, though maybe not the clearing up afterwards

I remember when one of my friends reached a memorable birthday, I bought some table confetti in the form of the memorable age. I stuffed her birthday card with it all. It went everywhere! She was still picking pieces up a week later. She now shakes her cards from me very carefully!

I hope that Ante is OK. I know that his sister is visiting this month so maybe its this weekend. Anyone in the quiet corner who gets a chance to peek in, thinking about you.

T'Bird, did you get to enjoy your spa? I looked out a little earlier and it was pouring down with rain so I hope by the time you got to Albstadt it had eased up for you. Chive, I love the smell of TCP. It is just a 'clean' smell. I'm not keen on the smell of Jeyes fluid though. I've made a mental note that cats don't like the smell of TCP - just in case.
Some horrid news on TV tonight.
