Pleased you are able to go home again @Pat E , hope the quiet weather stays for a good long time for you. Ā The devastation that has already been wrought is truly terrifying.

Hope the sinuses ease @AuntyRach - not nice when it stops you sleeping. Ā And good luck with the gall bladder removal @Hostafan1 ......hopefully that will sort your tummy problems out once and for all.

All the decorations coming down today - normally do it tomorrow, but will be gardening all day, so going with the alternative version of twelfth night this year 🤪

    Morning @chicky :)
our decorations came down on Friday ... facilitating a quick faff with a duster and the waving around of a vacuum.Ā

This morning I have done the ironing (bedlinen, table linen and shirts/blouses) and put a pheasant in some aromatic brine to roast later for supper ... in a bit I’ll drive OH to work and then peel parsnips, carrots and potatoes.Ā

We have been waiting to hear news from Bro as his youngest and her lovely husband are in the maternity ward awaiting their first ... they’ve been there since Friday ... apparently all is well, he or she is just taking their time (drumming fingers smiley needed). This little one is especially exciting as niece had Hodgkin’s lymphoma as a teen, needing chemo and radiotherapy ... and there were fears a family might not be happen. Ā Ā

    Morning all.
That's lovely news @Dovefromabove that a family is about to happen after all.

I hope your sinuses clear up quickly, @AuntyRach, sinusitus is horrid.

That bag is looking beautiful @Lizzie27 Lovely idea to take it to the funeral. Funerals can be very sad but there is some compensation in meeting relations that you like when you haven't seen them for some time.

We will be taking down the Christmas tree today too, @chicky , we always do it on the 5th, which is 12th night, Epiphany Eve. I've already cleared the dining room though.

Hello Forkers.Ā  Ā Hope you get home safely and find all is well @Pat E.Ā  Ā

Decorations coming down here too as I am out all day tomorrow.Ā  With any luck, OH will spend the day ironing and cleaning.....Ā  No new car yet so he'll be stuck at home anyway and there'll be golf or cricket for him to watch.

Sinus pain is horrid @AuntyRach.Ā  Have you tried eucalyptus oil on your pillow to help clear them?Ā

    Exciting news @Dovefromabove .Ā  Ā Hope all goes well.Ā

All hugs gratefully received and also offered to those who need one, or two.

Thanks for the congratulations @Hostafan1 ... it’s quite easy becoming a Great Aunt ... I didn’t notice a thing šŸ˜‰ Ā it’s also a marvellous excuse to behave badly and get a reputation for being slightly ā€˜eccentric’ šŸ™ƒ

I'm just worried about the implications of being a Great Great Uncle: makes me sound as if I should be about 100 years old
