    Morning all.
Here's hoping the rain comes soon for you @Pat E.
Another bright , frosty morning, perfect for planting my new wisteria.

Spot on @steephill, Frensham Little Pond, on the way back from a trot up the Devils Jumps.  Glad the panto was fun 🤣

Beautiful frosty morning here, been out taking pictures of icy leaves (and no doubt killing the grass in the process 🙄, but it was too tempting to resist).

Sorry there’s no rain yet for you @Pat E , maybe tonight?  Littlest Chicklet has just got back to Sydney after a fortnight exploring the Queensland coast - talking to her later so will find out if Sydney’s air is clearer now.

Down to Dad’s today ......but need a bacon sandwich first 🥪 😋

It’s crisp, bright and beautiful here too ... we’re going to head to the coast for some sea air in a bit ... not sure if the car is going to defrost itself or whether it needs some encouragement ...

    Morning all.   :)

Our car needed serious defrosting before I could drive to church today - we hadn't used it for a few days and it was iced up on the inside as well.  The fields are very pretty though.  The house is now an acceptable temperature - it gets very cold overnight, as we're still waiting for the extra insulation in the loft and externally, and only have electric heaters.  But having lots of south-facing windows helps on a day like this, as the cat's favourite sleeping position (on a pile of boxes next to the window in the spare bedroom) bears out.

Dozens of little birds are enjoying the feeders this morning, including as many as 20 goldfinches at a time.  I'd never seen a goldcrest on a feeder before, but there was one on the fat cake a little while ago.  :)

We’ve given up waiting for the rain and gone to bed.

Off to Ukelele tomorrow for the first time for many months. Could be interesting.

    Hi all

Beautiful winters day here, went for a lovely walk in the botanical gardens. The Sarcococca and Witch hazels were amazing.

We also went for a walk today Punkdoc but just round the block. Saw the first two yellow crocuses, a spectacular yellow witch hazel absolutely smothered in flowers (I'm very envious), tiny blue blossom on standard ceanothus and a small bush with small peachy waxy looking flowers - reminded me of our ornamental quince but our flowers are much larger than these were. Will post a pic later on when OH has downloaded them.

We also went for a short walk this afternoon to keep hubby moving.  Lovely views but pretty nippy...

We had a lovely lunch with our friends, roast dinner in a pub 5 minutes drive away. Then they came back here for coffee and they've just gone. They admired the new kitchen floor
