    Hi all

OK, so I am a complete waster, only just got up. All I seem to have done this year is sleep.
Out in town tonight, dinner for a friends birthday, looking forward to it, just hope I stay awake.

Afternoon from a rainy South Wales.
Just doing some indoor pottering and tidying today. Building up to sorting through all my ‘office’ stuff but a bit more procrastination and coffee needed before that.

Have a fab evening out Punkdoc.

Lovely sunshine here and more expected for the next few days.  Looks like the heavy downpours and winds that were expected are going elsewhere now.

I've just finished cutting out Possum's under top and will shortly go for a stroll round outside but first I need to find a recipe for oca.  OH picked a load in the polytunnel this morning and there's no help on the Beeb sites.

We need a good clean and sort too @AuntyRach but it can wait till the weekend.

We spent some time today repairing the fence between us and our elderly widow NDN. She isn't sure but she thinks it's her fence. The strong winds blew it towards our front garden, just one panel. Our honeysuckle was helping to pull it down. I cut out loads of honeysuckle and we pushed it back and OH screwed a plank of wood across the top to hold it in place. I've tied back the remaining honeysuckle. NDN's side had ivy. Fence is rotting, really needs replacing. The panel to the left of it have already been replaced.

This evening we are going to see the live film of the ballet "Sleeping Beauty" from Covent Garden.

Hope you enjoyed the ballet @Busy-Lizzie and hope @punkdoc is enjoying his evening out with friends. I’ve been struggling all evening to stay awake and have given in and come to bed. Night night all ... sweet dreams 😴

First dance class for a month tonight - jive, Viennese waltz and samba so not a gentle return for my knee - and two couples had brought galette du roi - 2 authentic frangipane and one apple with speculoos crumble and cider to drink.  It's never ending!

Good to sit and chat and have a laugh together tho.

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ I came to bed at 9, read for a little while and was asleep well before 10 and slept soundly until 7!  I was expecting to wake around 3am as NDNs were being picked up by taxi to head for Heathrow and onward to Australia for their daughter’s wedding ... but I didn’t hear a thing ...

    Hi all
More horrible weather here, but forecast is for cold and sunny over the weekend, which would be lovely.
Great evening out last night for a friends birthday, we failed to notice that we were the last people in the restaurant and they were desperately trying to get us to leave, so they could close.

    Glad you had a good evening out @punkdoc 🍷 🍽  🎉 🎈 just the ticket 😎

Looks like everyone else is still in bed 😂

OH is home today ... he’s topping the bird feeders up now and in a bit we’ll head out to buy more supplies. I will sit in the car rather than cough in an unpleasant manner in public ... but it is getting better (slowly)
Then I’ve got a complex bit of knitting to sort out ...

Glad you had a good evening @punkdoc so did we. The filmed from Covent Garden ballet, Sleeping Beauty, was fabulous.

The "man who can" is laying the new kitchen floor that I chickened out of doing. Lime washed wood-look vinyl "click" planks. Will look much lighter and not be as cold as the dark tiles.

OH has gone to the re-cycling with 2 huge bags of honeysuckle, rose, ivy and bramble, quite a bit dead and prickly, that I cut off the fence yesterday so that we could repair it. Wish I could have gone too as he muttered something about dropping in at a GC, but I have to stay here while the flooring man is here.
