Littlest chicklet set off last night - in a plane somewhere over India at the moment. She has a few weeks off before Uni starts again, so she is heading off to the Queensland coast once she has met up with friends back in Sydney. We go out to meet her for our own adventure at the start of February - Tasmania and Whitsundays all booked up - yay 😀😀😀😀
Dad’s trip to Bristol wasn’t a success - things too far progressed for treatment. Going down to see him today (it’s his birthday) - Chicklet is coming too, which is lovely. Back home tomorrow lunchtime.
And to end on a happy note, builders finally turned up to start the greenhouse base yesterday .....ground has been broken 🥂
Good morning all. What a difference a warm house makes. I slept for 11 hours last night, that's 9 hours more than the night before. A lovely long soak in the bath was a delight last night
Hubby having his hair cut, I'm just about to have mine done.
I spoke to the hospital yesterday, seems I'm having my gall bladder whipped out " in a couple of weeks" Onwards and upwards.
@chicky. 4 months in Tasmania will be lovely, my cousin lives there. Beautiful countryside. Glad Hosta had a good nights sleep. Lovely day here now after a very rainy start, need to spread some more mulch. Never that easy as I need to weed as I go.

Good to see you again @ice ... hopefully fit and healthy now ... and many congratulations on your marriage ... lovely
On a more sombre note ... a friend on the Foodie Forum I'm a member of met up with a family member over here from Australia for Christmas ... she's posted the following ...
"... He is one of the pilots who fly the scientific plane over the fires plotting and anticipating its spread and movement. Fire season usually starts in November through March, and they usually fly 750 hours in a season. This year the fires started in August and they broke the 750 hours mark by the end of November.
He showed me photos he had taken, even at 30,000’ the fires are frightening in their size, I don’t think we can quite imagine scale of firewalls over 200 miles long, at lower altitudes the pictures were terrifying. ..."

Hello @ice I hope you had a lovely wedding.
After the heavy rain, -4° frost, gales, my flower count is almost zero.
Gloomy and drizzly today.
Good news from @Hostafan1 I wonder if having the gallbladder whipped out will help you to sleep.
