Good news, @Pat E. Hope he's not too tired, the fire is under control and you can enjoy your dinner.
Hi everyone!
It's been dry here for 3 days and the quagmire left by the builders (having a well-earned break) is gradually drying out. I've been round the garden several times, picking up a binbag full of bits of wall insulation, damp proof membrane, roof materials, plastic and cigarette butts. Also collected together the offcuts of wood and piled them up - hope we'll be offered them for our stove... anyway, it's looking a lot better. I've even raked stones off the lawn so am feeling happier. It was looking rather unloved.
We're hoping to go to the Burren tomorrow, to meet the family at the Burren Perfumery and have a walk. Forecast is dry, at the moment...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
The hospital have just called to confirm Hubby's "re-plumbing" surgery on Jan 10th which is a massive joy. No word yet on what's happening about my gall bladder , but so pleased for Hubby's surgery.
Wonderful news about G, @Hostafan1, my mum had to wait for a year then she opted out of having it. Edited to add. That water garden near me is now open again under a different name, appointment only but should be nice.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
