Ooooooh, yes please, i could do with a big strong man [ or woman ] in the garden. Went out with the aim of doing something, but feel as weak as a kitten, so gave up.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I'm back indoors @punkdoc ... after the (big strong) fencing chap left I filled some of the bird feeders ... that left me absolutely bushed and a bit wobbly ... I'm back indoors on the sofa .... this is a horrid bug .... my innards are very fragile too ... a mug of Bovril is all I'm having for lunch.

you're a better man than I. I've not even gone out.
Me neither. Far too wet underfoot so spending my time cleaning the floor and window where the Xmas tree will go. OH desperate to bring it in so its branches can relax. Have to move around all sorts of bit of furniture and houseplants first. OH is clearing out the garage ready for the new car tho its delivery is delayed a few days thanks to admin cock-up at the showroom.
Good luck @WonkyWomble. It'll be lovely to have some peace and quiet and I hope the new neighbours won't be more of the same. Are you still taking the honey, lemon, ginger concoction @Dovefromabove? Leave out the cayenne and it should help your tum too.
Once the cleaning is done I need to make a parsnip cake for patch tomorrow. Another experiment on the grounds that carrot and beetroot work well.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone - what's left of it.

I am @Obelixx thanks ... and yes, I left the cayenne out of the batch I made yesterday as my innards were a bit dodgy then and I thought it would be a good idea to omit it.

I think you misunderstand my post @Lizzie27 ... my meaning was that everyone should accept that everyone else is entitled to their own view ... both sides of the fence can express disappointment and frustration within the sort of boundaries of behaviour in a relaxed village pub where all are welcome.
If one does not agree then it’s probably better not to comment, especially if we have not “walked a mile in their shoes” and have no idea of their own situation and the impact of recent socio-political events in the UK on their lives.
In a village pub, if someone’s being grouchy the grown up thing to do is to ignore them and talk about something else to someone else. Not pick a quarrel with them.

Christmas tree is in place in the sitting room, but not decorated. Dining room is decorated. 17 for dinner on Friday after the next Carol Service. I'm doing a typical English roast dinner, hope Leclerc have turkeys and Brussels sprouts. Smoked salmon with salmon mousse to start. Friends are bringing puds and wine.

The parsnip cake sounds interesting Obelixx, do let us know what it tastes like.
