Clearly was something he/she didn't like, and saw an opportunity to offload it !
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Maybe they saw you as a convivial and sociable person and knew you would then share it amongst family/friends?

Sounds like a perfect perker upper for hubby @Hostafan1.  You can enjoy it vicariously?

Does not sound like fun @punkdoc so I hope it is at least productive.   On th eother hand, what a good way to start a week @Chicky.

Bright, sunny and flipping cold here.   Have made a chocolate beetroot cake to take to patch group and got all my gear ready for that and mosaic where this yer's theme is the fables of La Fontaine - blank verse French versions of Aesop and co.

Stay safe and warm everyone, whatever you're doing.

Not bright and sunny here, still cloudy.
Went to get stamps for Christmas cards to England but the Post Office was "exceptionally closed", it often does that D Went to the further away one, had to queue for a while, bought the stamps, went over the road to the little supermarket to buy some fresh milk - they hadn't got any. Gave up and faced the crowds in Leclerc, they only had 4 bottles of whole milk left. Why do the French like sterilised milk so much? We think it's yuk.

    Home again.
No progress, but everyone is trying.
Roads fairly icy around us, but they don't grit them, we are not a priority.
How can you lie there and think of England

  • Hi everyone all behind again. Belated Birthday wishes Hosta.
We went to a craft fair yesterday it's usually at Wisley but this time it was at West Horsley Place, it's a 600 year old  grade 1 listed red brick "pile" inherited unexpectedly by Bamber Gascoigne, from Mary Duchess of Roxburghe. He & his wife have set up a trust to restore & run the place. We did a tour of the house as well as visiting the fair in the grounds. Interesting place, also interesting that the chose NOT to go the National Trust route.
Just back from getting quote for car repair, dozy woman ran into the back of our car Friday eve. Only a small bump but still over £300 quids worth!
