My daughter in law was diagnosed with gall bloody troubles, but having hospital phobia she wouldn’t have it removed,  she overcome the problem by not eating any fat at all, difficult at first but she’s made it she’s also lost a lot of excess weight and looks really good now.
Difficult when they go out for a meal though as the tiniest bit of fat sets it off.

  • Have we seen @Fairygirl this morning?  Someone on the foodie messageboard I'm a member of said the weather's a bit wild up in Scotland ... hope Fairy has her hard hat on!

Feeling sad today. A friend died from cancer yesterday. She and her husband came to stay with us last year in the old cottage in Norfolk before we moved. It's been very quick, treatments didn't work.

I'm sorry too @Busy-Lizzie, it's so tough to lose a friend.

That’s sad news @Busy-Lizzie. Extra hard this time of year too.

On a a lighter note - bought a dress for my Crimbo ‘do’ tomorrow. Not sure I’m ready, or willing, for all that jollity and tinsel but it’s the first night out with my new work team so I will muster the enthusiasm.

Right - I’m making chicken soup later if any of the poorlies fancy?
