By the sounds of it I think we will be counting our blessings, looking out for others and trying to make this a kinder and less lonely place, which is how it should be all the time but especially at Christmas.
Chicky  :) so lovely your having family Christmas! Bet your bouncy-excited!!
I missed  your round Pdoc but I'll probably need a strong one after work if your still at the bar? I'll see you all there in fact! Night night  :)

    Night night Dove.
Good to hear from you, Wonky. I'd be proud of you too if I were your Mum.
So glad for you @chicky that Littlest chicklet is coming home.

Have I said that it isn't my turn for the family to come here this Christmas? But they've all said they'll miss it so they've invited themselves for the following weekend. My first OH, their father, died late November '98 so Christmas used to be very difficult, but now there are all the grandchildren it's become joyous again. 2nd OH's wife died end of November a few years later so it had been a sad time of year for him too.

You can usually find me at the bar @WonkyWomble, so I will get you one in.
Lovely to have littlest chicklet home @chicky.
As I think I have mentioned we are trying something new, off to a hotel for 3 nights over C'mas, we are really looking forward to it.
How can you lie there and think of England

I’m on my usual hobby horse, complaining about LACK of rain! I envy you all. There are terrible bush fires in the Blue Mountains now. The heat has increased everywhere and no rain.
Sleep well everyone, to the sound of pitter patter on the roof.

    Morning all, Evening Pat 😀

Littlest chicklet is on her way ✈️.  Had a useful conversation with her last night where we established she was changing in Singapore, not Dubai as she thought.  She would have had a shock when she landed.  Not known as dolly-daydream for nothing 🙄 💭💭💭

Last day garden volunteering today ....until the New Year.  Weather is looking dodgy - waterproofs all packed.

Hope you are finally seeing the back of that lurgy @Dovefromabove

Good morning @chicky ✈️ and the rest of you as you arrive ... and g’day to @Pat E  😊 ☕️

Still coughing but feeling very much better than I was ... this just the aftermath ... others who have had it say that the cough lingers.

I’ve a hair appointment tomorrow so hope I won’t have to cancel as otherwise I’ll go through Christmas looking like Worzel Gummidge ... but don’t want to give this to my hairdresser  ... but it can’t be that contagious as OH hasn’t caught it.

Morning all, afternoon Pat, I'll send you our rain, Chicky, you can send yours! I'll think of you, that will be me tomorrow, only place due rain is right above me! Hope you manage to stay dry!! Chicklet can cut through the clouds as she passes over our heads!
Keep warm Dove and keep taking the meds!!! I'll see you at the bar for Pdoc's round 😁

We have two dry days according to our forecast, Roland’s got to get a weeks work done today and tomorrow,  can’t wait for him to pack up work.  No wonder he comes home and goes to sleep.  He was aiming at taking all next week off, hope so, he needs that break.
I remember many years ago my cousin in Perth saying that they were worried about the water situation and the Swan River was going to be dry in a few years,  30 years since then and they’re still ok.  The temperature there is 40c she loves it.
