    Morning Dove, Hosta and AuntyRach
Yes Dove, Amen to that!! Unfortunately the constantly having children backfired eventually for them. They refused to move to start with, the rooms in the flat a very big, the house they have moved to is a normal small terrace but has the right Number of bedrooms for the council to pay benefits....even tho they work but that's another story! With the flat upstairs the rooms were so big they crammed lots of people into every room, converting living space to bedrooms each day etc but this didn't bother them just the rest of the street.....now because of more children, it would appear if they want benefit they have to go where they are told! They haven't even admitted the grandparents and friends live there too so where they are gonna fit them I don't know! Or after 4 years....care either! Sounding heartless but I guess that's the Tory way......not that I like it  :'(

We failed dismally our Secret Santa offering at our lunch yesterday. I had bought a box of liqueur chocolates which I was busy wrapping, when OH re-read the email instructions 'no wine or chocs'.  Oh dear, rummaged in the cupboard but the only thing I could find was a box of Ecclefechan cakes I'd just bought. We'd first tasted these up in Dumfries years ago and they're nice as a special treat. What's worse when we got to the lunch we discovered we should have taken two presents, a his and hers! In my defence I had queried this with OH last week..... need I say more! I have now arranged for a copy email to be sent to me as well.

Look, could we please just stop the trashing the Tories posts and bad language, which is getting very tiresome and acknowledge that other people might have different views to yourselves. The results are in, get over it and grow up.

I see that was aimed at me, first comment I've made on the whole subject and only one mild sentence referring to it. I will not be censored thank you Lizzie, and as for growing up? Never!  ;)

Ahh maybe not, just saw ur post Pdoc, I take it back Lizzie it was probably for intended for my friend and his excellent taste in music primarily. Fantastic social commentary in his lyrics Pdoc.
Many have differing opinions, all should be able to view them and hold respect for the people that hold them.....now wouldn't that be nice!
Only talking drivel from now on so as to not offend, starting to remember why I gave this forum a break

Let's all be friends and remember that everyone is entitled to their opinions.  I have, in the past, referred to this thread being like a village pub, where we can chat, agree about lots of things, disagree about a few things, and still buy each other a pint.  :)

  • The fencing chap has just been to price our fence ... he's certainly big and strong enough to do that sort of work   :o
He came up with a few options and will give us a price for each ... think we're looking at the end of January before he'll have time to do it tho.
