Morning Dove, afternoon Pat I've been up since 5am after going to bed at 8 feeling unwell. Wanted to rest as I'm working today but first I'm making a wreath for a customer of mine that has just lost her husband. She didn't think she wanted to celebrate Christmas but she has asked if I would take her to get a tree and some lights so I'll make her a wreath too Hope everyone has a nice weekend ahead, I'll check in on you all later
Totally deflated after the election, feel that the only way is down. I was in touch with LillyPilly by PM regularly until a couple of months ago. Since then She has not replied to my messages, quite worried about her.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Hi Wonky and Punkdoc. Hope you feel better soon Wonky.
Sorry you’re feeling down about the election Punkdoc, I know you weren’t pleased before the voting. It seems to me that it’s the same all over the world at this time in history. We’re the same here. People are demonstrating in many countries. 😡😡
As do I - and many Forkers by the look of the posts on here. Hugs to @punkdoc.
Anyway, morning all - hope the lurgies are in retreat, and @WonkyWomble manages to fight against hers.
One consequence of the election result (for which my proxy vote had no effect on the outcome - we still have a Tory snurge as MP) is that we need to exchange our British driving licences for Irish ones before the end of January, in case Boris throws us out of Europe without a deal. (If there's a deal we've got until the end of 2020.) Needless to say there's a scramble to make appointments to visit the appropriate government offices in time, complete with a sheaf of documents and a fee... and in hubby's case, a medical certificate because he's over 70...
However, we also have good news. The roofers should be beginning to work on the extension on Tuesday.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
