    Morning all.
It's my friend's funeral today, we'll be leaving shortly.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Hi all.

Just braved town, needed some Christmas reading. Luckily the weather is so bad, it was very quiet.

How can you lie there and think of England

  • Thanks for sharing that 👍 Glad you’re well enough to go out @punkdoc ... OH has me confined to indoors. Im still coughing a lot. 😷

On the bright side I’ve written all the cards (except for the ones that he does) 😇 🎅

I dont even know if I have any cards. The whole thing gets beyond me sometimes.
Hope all you sickly folk are a bit better.
I've been 'blind wrangling' - no guide dogs were involved, it's the other kind of blind.
Why do they make these things so stupid? The old ones all had a wee springy thing in one end, so that you pushed that in to let you get the other end in place. When did they remove those  :#
Anyway - they're up. Not sure I like them.... :D
Bl**dy hideous here. I took pity on daughter and took her to work earlier. No shelter at the bus stops and she'd have been soaked through. Assuming the bus turned up of course. There's been a fair few vehicles doing somersaults today.
I did laugh at the postman - in his shorts. He was optimistic... :D
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Evening. I have got in just before the miserable rain has turned to awful rain.
Got a stew on - the aroma is amazing, but as it won’t be ready for a couple of hours I may need a mini- snack. I only had a Jaffa cake for lunch so it’s totally justified!

Hope you you guys are doing ok.

  • Worse wind here today than last night, they are supposed to be re-doing a stretch of the main road down the hill from us but there was no sign of any work this am when I passed by, perhaps they decided the weather was too bad.
Sorry to hear of the tribulations & ailments, I was worried my cold was making a return visit last night but seems to have subsided again. No wind damage here so far. I too have been doing Christmas cards after much "reminding" from OH. I only do about a dozen now she still does loads.
    AB Still learning

  • I am so lucky ... after a day at work OH cycled to the shops and instead of getting the fish cakes and oven chips I was expecting he cooked me a surprise supper of a dish of poached ray with a sauce vierge and spinach that we’d just watched Rick Stein cook on the tv. Bless him 💕 he’d never cooked anything like it before and he usually likes a recipe written out in stages to follow. What a star!  🥰

Now I’ve been sent to bed so he can watch George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces without a coughing and sneezing accompaniment.

Night night all ... sweet dreams 😴
