Evening folks. Hope hubby doesn't have too long a wait @Busy-Lizzie.Ā
No chance of any gardening here either @Liriodendron - cold snap continues unabated.Ā
Minus 2 out there just now. Very little of the garden defrosted at all today. Nice when I was out and about though - a low flying heron passed by, and I smiled at a rook who looked very pleased with himself, as he'd managed to make a decent enough hole in the frozen ground to dig out something tastyĀ  :)
Did you look at solar panels too? I've been told by a couple of people that the pumps aren't nearly as good as the panels.Ā
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • Hope OH doesn’t have too long to wait @Busy-Lizzie.Ā

My OH has just had a flu jab ... he decided it would be a good idea as so many folk are in and out of the shop.

Ā I’ve got to get up early tomorrow as I have a fasting blood test at 8:20 am tomorrow and although it’s not far to the surgery the road can be congested at rush hour Ā ... we’ve put a sheet of insulation over the windscreen and a Ā cover over the car as the forecast is for frost.Ā

@Busy-Lizzie, I've got NHS hearing aids and was quite impressed with them - so much smaller and neater than they used to be. ENT specialist told me they would have been £500 each if I'd gone privately.
@Liriodendron, you've got plenty of time to work your way round your new garden so don't be daunted, a little bit at a time is fine and you can spend the winter happily making plans.
Thank you Lizzie, that's good to know, I'll tell him.

    Evening.
Just put the recycling boxes out - very chilly out there - frost in the morning, no doubt.Ā
Oh I dread my fasting bloods day @Dovefromabove - I cannot possibly go and brave the world without at least a morning cuppa. I usually take a mug or flask with me to enjoy in the car after the blood-draw.Ā
    Exciting about your course @chicky.Ā
Good luck with all your garden plans @Liriodendron - you will be super busy next Spring.
Hope those referrals won’t take too long @Busy-Lizzie - at least the ball is rolling.

Hooe everyone else is fighting fit. Keep cosy.

morning all. We’ve got a horrible hot windy day here today. The heat wave that hit WA a few days ago, has worked it’s way over to us in the east. 🤬. I’m being smart and doing the washing and hanging it in the spare room. No going out in that weatherĀ

I’m sure Chicklet is looking out for herself with the air quality being bad, Chicky.Ā
She isn’t anywhere near fires though. You can be sure that Sydney will get top priority if any more fires head in that direction. Our local fire captain took one of our fire trucks up to northern NSW last week. There were at least 30 locals who went up to help. There are volunteers coming from all over to help the ones with the fires.Ā

I meant to say Liri, thanks for the jig saws. I really enjoyed them. 😁. Especially since I’m not going outside in that weather today.Ā
