Morning all/afties Pat. A bit of colouring in sounds peaceful Have they got any kind of handle on the fires yet? I haven't heard anything this morning. Lovely pic @chicky. We still have some foliage on trees which is very unusual for the time of year - not been as windy as normal. Minus 2 the noo. Nice and sparkly. At least it looks quite clear. So often our frosts turn into murk and cloud through the morning instead of clear and sunny. I've run out of mealworms so I ordered some. Instead of 2x 1kg bags [so 2kg] I received a 200gm bag. I ain't happy. I've sent a message to the seller and also taken a screenshot of the page where I ordered, so I'll see what happens. In the meantime, Mr Magpie will have to wait until I got to a shop...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hope you get your order sorted out @Fairygirl......Mr Magpie won’t want to be short changed on mealworms 🐛🐛🐛
Lovely sunny day again - but I shall be looking at it from out the windows because the spare room painting is calling me ☹️
Littlest Chicklet is certainly enjoying your weather now @Pat E . Lots of beach shots coming in. But today she was at the Botanical gardens, finding flowers to photo for her Mum 😍
Afternoon (let’s face it - it’s evening out there). Hope everyone is doing ok - working, cooking, eating, relaxing or any else. I think this week will be the last of the Autumn leaves in my garden - bit sad, but then the trees need to work their magic for Spring.
Evening definitely now @AuntyRach Been sunny here, but not warm of course, although I got outside and did a couple of things this morning, and a walk this afternoon with Johnnie Walker for company. Not too shabby. Almost back down to zero now, so the heating is on, and pork bolognese on the hob. Not bad - and definitely better than turkey or Quorn.

Back from a bracing walk - sunny but cold still here. No gardening today; went to church this morning, then apart from the walk, time only to fill the bird feeders and clear a drain... now it's growing dark again.
Still some Autumn leaves around here, but they're disappearing fast. This was on our walk this afternoon.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Our guests left about half an hour ago. Good company. I made salmon and leek tartlets, then stuffed pork fillet in cider and celery with tenderstem broccoli, sugar snap peas and spuds. Pud was sticky toffee (Morrison's, better that my homemade) and pears in lemon and ginger syrup.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I wish, @Fairygirl... our gateway wouldn't bear photographing at present. Weedy potholed gravel... but no point doing anything with it until the builders have stopped driving tracked vehicles all over the place...
It's definitely the right time of year for sticky toffee pud, @Busy-Lizzie

Has anyone seen 'the wall' (goes on for miles) just outside of Dorchester (I think)- that goes around the Drax family estate? I used to drive down to my sister's place on the Devon/Cornwall border and going past that wall in autumn with all the trees changing colour was just amazing.

Is that the gates and driveway to the new house?
