Food, wine, gardening, music and wildlife, in no particular order, all I need for a happy life.
How can you lie there and think of England

As it is you, you can swap it for anything you like.

Are you two having a bromance?  ;)
I'm kinda with you @Hostafan1. In my case, when you've spent around forty years cooking, and not always having it appreciated, you get a bit scunnered with it all. As I said the other day - I could easily live on soup, and the odd bit of chicken. Scrambled eggs too an dtea of course  ;)

Home-made soup and well brought up chicken OK but I think I'd need a lot more fruit and veggies @Fairygirl and some fish and shellfish and no tea.

I buy the ready made galettes and make stuffing for them. Leek with salmon, chicken and mushroom, chicken and asparagus, sweet peppers and red onion, and more. Melted cheese is nice too.

Bother, bother, damn and blast. I've spent most of the afternoon doing my photo album. I'd downloaded the photos into the album, changed over the photos in the wrong places, written all the captions, clicked on the "order" button and the whole thing disappeared. P- B- D At least my photos are still there but not in an album. I'd wanted to finish it so I could start another with the offer of 70% off by midnight for Black Friday.

I’ve just caught up with the last several pages. Sorry to hear about your Dad, Chicky, I hope they can help him. Punkdoc, it’ll be interesting to hear what’s going on with your tongue, but glad it’s no cancerous.

Hubby is being pushed lately, much to my disgust. Our fire captain has been helping out up north with bushfires, and his useless wife has been pushing Hubby to do all the ringing around trying to get volunteers for our fires near here. The phone is driving me crazy. 🤬
Poor Hubby was exhausted by news time, so missed our usual viewing.

There was a large fire between Canberra and Braidwood yesterday which got the attention of the media, but it’s apparently been slowed down a bit today. We couldn’t see the smoke from here, but it could have been possible,if the wind had been in the right direction. My father was born at Braidwood in 1906.

We haven’t heard anything about London Bridge or France, so I hope someone gives us some details.

Our crazy weather has dropped from the hot days for a while and they are predicting a cold spell which might even include rain and snow!  Hubby is pumping water to our top tanks in case our lower ones collect some rain. 👏

    Best wishes to all.

Hubby has shown me how to find the news item about a London Bridge, so no need to follow up thanks. The France one is a bit confusing because there were several bomb scares reported including one that was designed to delay an aircraft taking off. Sounds stupid.

I'm happy with very simple, well prepared food.
So much nonsense of food "theatre" .
I don't care for soup/ custard/ sauce, gravy  or whatever being poured from a tea pot , or watering can , or whatever and don't even get me started on the nonsense of food being served under a glass bell jar, or on slate, or chopping boards or even bricks.
I've never yearned for my food to taste of hay , or smoke or such like which is why I've given up watching Masterchef.
    I don't want it to have " a message" or " a theme", nor do I want it to " tell a story"  .
I don't want anything so small it has to be placed on my plate with a pair of tweezers or an artful smear of something , so thin you can't possibly taste it.
    Emperors new clothes.
