Very good. I recall seeing the double slit light experiment on TV that showed light was a wave and a packet/particle - and the bit that got me was when they were talking about some of the results only occurring when they were observed.....yeah, right. I still can't get my head round Schroedinger's Cat.

I once listened to a radio programme and for a brief moment in time I understood String Theory 🙂.... then it all got tangled up again 🙃

As long as you didn't have a G string on at the time @Dovefromabove. Can you imagine the pain that would have caused..... ;)

....a man walks into a fish and chip shop and orders cod and chips. The chippy asks 'Would you like salt and vinegar on that?'. The man replies '...I think not...' and disappears.....

    OK... how about:
A group of tarmac was standing around a bar in a pub. The first bit of tarmac orders a drink '...barman, get me a double whisky and scotch chaser...' - it goes on 'I'm 'ard me...I'm a bit of the M25, I carry 20,000 cars a day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I'm 'ard...'.
The second bit of tarmac pipes up '...barman make mine a triple whisky with a rectified Polish spirit chaser.... I'm 'ard me. I'm a bit of the runway at Heathrow. I bear the weight of Dumbos, Jumbos, Hercules and even a Spruce Goose. I'm 'arder....'.
The third bit of tarmac pipes '...Barman, make mine pure isopropyl alcohol with a glycerine chaser... You think you're 'ard? 'Ard? All softies...I'm a bit of the launchpad that launched the shuttle and all the rockets send to the moon. Now I'm 'ard. I can take the heat... I'm made of stuff you only dream about....'
just then in walks a piece of pink tarmac... '...barman, make mine a lemonade and remove the bubbles as they hurt my throat....'. The shuttle tarmac sniggers, the M25 cannot contain its mirth. The Heathrow tarmac is rolling about on the floor. The barman looks aghast - his hands are shaking out of fear as he pours the drink and whispers to the Shuttle '....don't mess with him, he's a cycle path....'.
