Morning all/afties Pat if you're around Lovely pic @chicky - many congratulations to you both xxx Thanks for the good wishes - I'd forgotten until daughter mentioned it last night. We dont go in for much in the way of celebrations, but cake is always very welcome @AuntyRach. Of course, it only needs to be a little one for holding 27 candles Another cold start here, and very murky looking. Not sure what it'll be like, but hopefully reasonably dry so that I can get a bit more done in the 'awkward corner' behind the shed. I know how to party....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@Busy-Lizzie the birds got most of our blueberries too. Haven't bothered here as it is just too hot and dry and the fat USA varieties are very mild flavoured compared to the proper wild heathland varieties I grew up with in Lancashire and Cheshre.
It's been wet overnight and started off grim, cold and grey but now we have lovely sunshine. Just having another coffee before going out to dismantle some fence so neighbour Luc can get into our paddock and cut it down - 3 years of wildflowers and brambles to tame. Then decisions to be made if he decided not to use it for mums and calves since t'other neighbour has not put his horsed in there. Might have to try and find a stray donkey or two, or some sheep.
After that, acer planting which means some clearing first.
I hope you are all waving and not drowning. Looks wet up there in the UK and northern France too.

Happy anniversary, @chicky and Mr Chicky, lovely photo, you look beautiful. Happy birthday @Fairygirl have a lovely day behind the shed!
I'm taking OH to the airport this morning, he has an exercise class tomorrow. Will next see him on 5th November when I go to Norfolk But Daughter 2 and family are coming to stay this weekend and I am going to stay a night with Daughter 1 and family on Monday.
The plumber says he's coming tomorrow to put the loo back and it's the Church Quiz and Tea on Thursday afternoon. I will be making sausage rolls for the tea. Diet will go to pot.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
@WonkyWomble is up to her eyes in work and getting to grips with yet another new phone cos she sat on her last one .... but she says Hi to all, sends ((hugs)) to all who need them and has sent us this to make us smile ...

@Fairygirl - acer palmatums are Sango Kaku, Orange Dream, Butterfly, Atropurpureum and 3 more with helpful labels that just say Japanese maple. On of those is more upright like Sango Kaku but different foliage and setm colour. Another is purple but not a plain atropurpureum and I have no odea what the 3rd is.

Belated Anniversary Congratulations @chicky and Birthday greetings @Fairygirl
I'm feeling a bit yukky this morning, nothing I can put my finger on. Have so much I should be doing both in the house and garden but can't summon up any enthusiasm. Supposed to be going to the cinema with Bestie to see Downton but not sure I fancy that (she has already seen it once so isn't particularly bothered). I think I need some sunshine.

I might just make some biscuits for Luc. Any excuse.
