Yes @Hostafan1 we heard that on the radio last night. As OH says, Ā it makes him sound like that puffed up Arch-Duke (?) in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang !!! Ā

You’reĀ allĀ right 🤣🤣🤣. Ā Official leaving date is 30 November, so first day of freedom is Hostas bday šŸŽŠ. Ā But from Friday this week I am on holiday, and they have promised me some ā€œgarden leaveā€ after that (do you think I will be the first person in the history of the universe to use garden leave to garden??). Ā So 3 more days in the office, counting today. Ā And I am counting 🤪🤪🤪

Expect you don't need extra fingers or hands @Chicky but happy to help you count of you need it.

Exciting times! Our normal notice period for retirement or leaving was 3 months but they offered an early retirement scheme to cut numbers and I took that up. It was all a bit of a rush, we all had to be gone by the end of the next month and I had 3 weeks leave left to take too. I got the written offer on the Monday evening, replied on the Tuesday morning and was gone on Friday! So 3 days notice after 32 years service. They wanted me to swap the leave for cash so they could implement "knowledge transfer" but I politely declined. Better than being made redundant of course which must be devastating.

And better than returning to work after 8 months on sick leave, to be told they don't want you back.

I’m having an early night so in bed. Fed up with TV.

Fairy I won’t know until daylight if we got any more rain in the gauge, but all happily received. There are terrible bushfires up on the NSW -Qld border. Everyone needs the rain badly.Ā

Afternoon all,Ā  Busy day yesterday looking after Jonah and Gabriel.Ā  Jonah announced that I had pretty boobies (I was wearing a flowery top) he then went on to say that he didn't have any boobies, he had nipples.Ā  3 year olds have such a way with words.Ā  Meanwhile Gabriel (1 year old) was busy on my mobile phone converting my Tesco points into vouchers for Chessington Zoo, luckily he doesn't yet know my mobile number so couldn't confirm the purchase.

Popped to Ashwoods today for a browse and scone.Ā  Bought some Summer Snowflake bulbs.Ā  Since then I've been in the greenhouse.Ā  I've finally found a solution re insulating with bubble wrap.Ā  I've use Command Strips (usually used for hanging pictures) its worked really well.

@Yviestevie šŸ˜‚ šŸ’•. I remember being told about a young schoolboy who said that when his teacher bent down he could see her lungs (she often wore a loose vee neck Ā jumper 🤣)

Busy couple of day for us.Ā
All the " wood chip" which I put down between beds in the polytunnel a few years ago has been lifted and spread over the beds. Lovely and well rotted and looks great.Ā
Hubby barrowed all the fresh chippings in and I've been spreading it. V satisfying.
