Evening. I just noticed that my ā€œgood morningā€ message hadn’t appeared - oh well, I was only saying that I pressed the snooze alarm several times as couldn’t quite muster the energy to get up and about.Ā
Just settling down and planning TV tonight whilst steak pie is cooking. Had a new TV recorder box thingy today, as the other one stopped working, so will be pausing (adverts) and recording once again. Need to catch up on a few things plus Bake Off later.Ā
    Hope all are ok.Ā

You’ll be telling us you have a remote control on a wire next Hosta!Ā
I took some videos to the charity shop and they refused them. The ā€˜youngsters’ in work laughed at my CD player in the car too. They probably have never seen a cassette tape or video tape.Ā

Have you got an outside loo as well @Hostafan1 :D
@Yviestevie- small children always say it like it is, don't they!Ā Ā
Not much done here today - too wet and windy. I managed a wee bit of 'post inserting' behind the shed this morning, in between showers, some pruning and bits and bobs. I'd optimistically hung out washing, and stayed on the line well enough until lunchtime, when the rain came in properly.Ā
Nice roast dinner has been consumed though.Ā
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • @chicky Re the gardening leave sorry but I beat you to it in 2013 when I was made redundant. I used a lot of my time gardening & that is when I signed up for the RHS course at Capel Manor.Ā

@Allotment Boy I’m about to sign up for the same at Merrist Wood ......great minds and all that šŸ‘šŸ». So now I not only know I’m the second person in the universe to use garden leave for gardening......but also that I ā€œknowā€ the first one 😜

We’re immensely proud of Norwich City Council ... Goldsmith Street is the first ever council housing to win the Stirling Prize.Ā

I think i may have mentioned before that this development is on the site of some old semi derelict prefab type buildings where OH and some other artists had studios a few years back.Ā

Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Very pleased Goldsmiths won it - about time the RIBA took more interest in Passivhaus. I just hope they aren't all sold off by the end of the year.

I liked the cork one tooĀ :)

I saw that on the news, was hoping they'd win.

After the sewing I went to a GC, not my local,Ā with F and bought a box of 24 violas for under 10€, F bought pansies and tulips. She's making a tulip circle in her lawn, having seen a photo of one at Forde Abbey.

Watched Bake-Off and Love is in the Countryside.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Went swimming last night whilst Chicklet went to the gym ......so Bake Off will have to wait til this evening. Ā But only after a talk at the Garden Club about creative container planting - will let you know if it gives me any new ideas šŸ’”Ā

Littlest chicklet is finally sounding happy and settled ......its been a long month 🄓
