    Morning all.
We had no rain yesterday and I managed to get to my last drop before dark so 'twas fine.
    Didn't wake until 9.30 this morning , o:)
Raining now , so I'll drag Hubby into the polytunnel for some undercover chores.

    Hello all.

Feeling a bit frustrated, carpenter was supposed to mend the spare bathroom floor this morning, he didn't turn up. I wanted to do some gardening, sort out a veg garden bed and put compost and manure on it, also dig up petunias and plant some violas in pots but it's raining. Not forecast.

Hotel in the lakes sounds lovely @punkdoc

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hello folks ... hectic morning 😅... a call for help from @WonkyWomble ... she knew her car was on its last legs but this morning it died ... she’d already bought a new (er) one and had arranged to pick it up next week when her Papa returned from his holiday in Canada, but she needs a car NOW so she can work.

Thankfully the new car was ready for her ... she just had to get to the garage on the Norfolk border to pick it up ... so I drove down to Ipswich to pick her up ... she sorted out the insurance etc and I drove her to pick up the new car ... a long detour was needed as the road was blocked and there were long queues on the A140 involving lots of police cars and breakdown wagons ... fortunately we were near to a turning and I was able to find a route through old haunts ... she’s got the car and hopefully all is well... and I’m home with a ☕️

  • @Dovefromabove it must be that time of year re daughters and cars, we got the call last week "Mum my cars on the blink so is hubbys" (electronic systems throwing a fit & sending cars into limp along mode). So we are one car down now, I know having one each is an extravagance but we often do separate things, & it's "my" car they have as it's newer & more economical.
We are in the soup factory today so the wet that we were forecast yesterday that has come today does not really matter.

@Allotment Boy   .... don't talk to me about cars with electronic problems :#  last year my son's new (pre-loved Grrrrrrrr!!!) had so many electronic problems and went back to Car Shop so many times over six months that Black Horse gave him his payments back, plus a decent amount of compensation and made Car Shop take the car back.  If anyone ever thinks of buying a car from them PM me first Grrrrrr!!!

    Evening.
Nipped to SM on way home - noticed a bread pudding (not bread and butter pud but the type you can slice like a fruit cake) in the bakery aisle and it called to me... just the job for a stodgy supper on a dreary Autumn day 😋
Hope everyone ok after your busy/rainy/not busy day.
