Hi all Horrible weather again, when will it end? Tried to divide some plants yesterday, only to find the soil was so boggy that I thought I would end up damaging the soil too much.
We made a "momentous" decision at the weekend, we are going to go away for Christmas to a beautiful little hotel in the Lakes. Not something we have tried before, hopefully it will be fun.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Greetings Pat and good morning to those just starting the day. A drizzly day here - I think today will be the first day of wearing my Autumn ankle boots. Wont be long until the opaque tights, scarfs and gloves make an appearance too. Have a good day all. Edit: didn’t see you there Punk. Crimbo holiday sounds gorgeous.
Morning morning Punkdoc and AuntyRach. It’s hard to realise that you’re all having so much rain. We are desperate for some here. Australia is H.A. ing one of its worst droughts for many years.
Temps are rising too. Imhotep happy about that. Makes me feel a bit crook.
Beat you to it on the opaque tights and ankle boots @AuntyRach.....mine were brought back into service last week.
Turns out littlest chicklet didn’t even know the clocks had changed - took a text from her mother to alert her (what would we do without you @Pat E 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻). For an intelligent girl, she can sometimes be a right dolly day dream 😳
Full on week at work this week .....hopefully my last hurrah 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Good morning all ☕️ @punkdoc your Christmas plans sound just perfect 🎄 I never used to understand the ‘going to a hotel at christmas’ thing, but now that I’m older (and wiser) I definitely see how it suits some folk. I hope you both have an absolutely gorgeous time. 😊 Hello @Pat E ☕️ 🍪 and @AuntyRach ... enjoy those boots.
@Yviestevie- the 'dubious ivy' made me laugh out loud Morning all/afties Pat. I saw that on the news earlier @Dovefromabove. Have you got a canoe? It's been blustery and wet here, and there was a bit of localised flooding yesterday when I was out. Our ground is soaking, but it's fairly normal for the time of year. Lots of lovely colour on the trees. There was a bunch of kids collecting conkers - no doubt the elf and safety brigade will be out in force at the schools today... That sounds good @punkdoc. I hope you have a great time. Not been in the Lakes for a long time. That's some band they're forming out in the ether now, isn't it - with ol' Ginger going? Getting exciting for you @chicky
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
