    Good morning.  Nobody about yet?

Had an unbroken sleep for the first time in weeks and feel shattered.  Could sleep some more but dog to medicate, jobs to do and a stand to manage at the Forum.  Over 200  local clubs from sports, thru photography, acting, singing and twinning and some strange ones gathered to show what they do and attract new members.   Good fun but tiring.

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever you're doing.   HUgs to all who need cheering up or time to get well again.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Must be something in the air @Obelixx ... we both slept the sleep of the just ... probably the effect of a lovely day on the Suffolk coast, a  pint of Adnams, a crab salad, a mooch around the town, a visit to the craft shop to see what old friends are up to, and then some time whiled away at the harbour mouth doing the crossword in the paper and watching the gulls and cormorants and a naval fishery protection vessel anchored close to shore ... we finished up with very good ice cream cones and visited the fishermen’s hut and bought a large piece of line-caught ‘skate’ for supper this evening.
When we got home we popped the lasagne I’d made the other day into the oven ... perfect 😃

    Good morning.
Watching the legend that is Sir Billy Connolly the other night, I found out something new.

Hi folks,  I've been catching up on what everyone has been upto since getting back from hols.  Had a few days looking after the grandkids and finally got to spend some time in the garden today.  Hubby has re felted the woodshed roof and I've been chopping down a very large grapevine and deadheading.  Have a lot of foxgloves to plant and some seedlings to pot on but they probably wont get done until Tuesday.  It's Gabriel's 1st Birthday party tomorrow so I'm about to bake a cake.  Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

Had a busy couple of days. I hosted the church charity BBQ today so 29 to lunch. I did shopping and salad making and Chicken Tandoori marinade yesterday. More salads and lemon and herb chicken today. Helpers came to set tables. Only the burgers were actually cooked on the BBQ. I cooked the chicken and sausages in the kitchen or it would have taken ages. It was a nice day, the forecast showers didn't happen, but there was one in the night.

Yes I noted that as well, my Ma / grandma lived there for some time too! I think it may be the theme of the series showing how many famous "Yanks" actually came from Scotland.

@Dovefromabove I can't believe it either.  He's almost walking now. I'm even more shocked by the fact that Merri (my eldest grandaughter) has started at senior school.  I must be getting old.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️

Is no one else awake?  I’ve started prepping a warming casserole for supper and booked next year’s holiday ... and we’ve not had this year’s yet 😎
